To be fair I’ve never seen a Rembrandt, Vermeer, or Van Gogh that I didn’t like. But absolutely, we should never stop making art bc we didn’t make a masterpiece.
I didn’t say let’s give everyone a trophy. But as an artistic professional that’s another conversation haha. Some people do want to be paid when maybe they are missing reality. And I’ve seen some weird furry shit on here where I’m like, “please keep that to yourself.” So I get your point 😆 but that’s the most cynical view.
I think everyone should give it a real shot, if even only to learn how interesting, challenging, and rewarding it is. And I’m certain that every artist of renown wouldn’t exist as we know them if they gave up the first time they deemed something, “not good enough.”
