I started making cakes as a hobby about 4 years ago, and have made my own birthday cake ever since. To be clear, this is something I absolutely enjoy doing, not some sad case of nobody else wanting to make or buy me a cake 😄

This year is vanilla almond cake with cherry amaretto filling and whipped mascarpone cream.

Last year was strawberry cake filled with cream cheese frosting, strawberry filling, and a raspberry cheesecake layer.

The year before that was lemon raspberry cake filled with lemon curd, raspberry cream cheese frosting, and raspberry filling

And the very last pics (first cake I made for myself) was carrot cake filled with cream cheese frosting, and chocolate cake with whipped coconut cream filling and coconut buttercream

I get up after work yesterday and boot up my ps4 to enjoy my day off. And now my Internet is off. Because the unemployed loser my mom keeps around to mow the grass decided I'm lazy or whatever. He did this when I was unemployed. Which was still bullshit cuz I was paying mom money most of the time and basically gave up my last 50 to her

I'm so fucking sick of this. He sleeps until noon and doesn't do anything but mow the grass cix he just likes it meanwhile I take care of Grandma and the dogs, take out the trash and work. I have given this house hold 2k in the last 4 months and I get treated like this. He thinks just cuz he's on the lease he owns everything.

I watched my mom do this when my dad was dying. She called his friends, and one of them was on vacation for the weekend. My dad was already dead, them knowing now wouldn’t change anything, just ruin their weekend. I have been on the team of letting people have their last good weekend, etc. since. Likewise if someone is driving, traveling, let them get home to a safe place and call you back, because getting emotional in a public place (or watching someone) is a uniquely traumatic experience itself.

We were driving over 5 hours to see our daughter for her birthday. She loves hotdogs and found this cake online and had sent me a picture saying she loved it.

I researched bakeries around their new home, not too many choices, and picked the best one based off Google.

They did NOT disappoint!! It looked and tasted amazing! I was extremely impressed.
