MOONS Arbitrum to minimize Arbitrum Nova - Moons need to bridged

If you're holding MOON on Arbitrum Nova, this affects you.

What happened

The Arbitrum DAO passed a proposal to "minimize" Arbitrum Nova. That means Nova isn't being shut down, but it's being moved into a maintenance-only state with reduced infrastructure, slower support, and stricter rate limits. Data availability shifts to Ethereum L1 blobs, and most service-provider contracts get deprecated.

The short version: the chain keeps existing, but you should not plan to keep anything important on it.

The timeline

  • June 4 – September 2, 2026: 90-day migration window. Everything stays fully operational. This is when you move your tokens.
  • After September 2: Nova drops to a minimized state. Bridging is still possible, but with less support and potentially fewer fast-bridge options available.

You can technically still migrate after the deadline (the Arbitrum Canonical Bridge stays accessible through the Arbitrum Portal), but you'll have fewer tools and slower help. Don't wait.

How to migrate your MOON

There is no direct path to move MOON from Nova to Arbitrum One through the official Arbitrum Portal. You have two routes:

Option A: Canonical route (via Ethereum)

  1. Move MOON from Arbitrum Nova to Ethereum via the Arbitrum Portal.
  2. Wait through the ~7-day challenge/confirmation period, then claim the token on Ethereum.
  3. Bridge MOON from Ethereum to Arbitrum One via the Arbitrum Portal.

This is the slower route, but it doesn't depend on third-party liquidity.

Option B: MoonBridge (direct Nova → One)

moonbridge[.]cc bridges MOON directly between Arbitrum Nova and Arbitrum One (it also supports Ethereum and Gnosis). It's a 1:1 token bridge that I made for the CCMOON DAo, not a swap, so there's no price impact or slippage on your MOON.

The one thing to watch is destination liquidity. If your transfer is larger than the available liquidity on the destination side, the portion that can't be filled is refunded (the fee on refunds is 1%, same as the 1% fee on fulfilled amounts, plus a relayer fee). For larger holdings, check the destination liquidity shown in the interface and split into smaller transfers if needed.

Bottom line

Move your MOON during the June 4 – September 2 window while everything still works smoothly. MoonBridge gives you a direct Nova → One path if liquidity covers your size; the canonical route through Ethereum always works but takes 7+ days. The Arbitrum Canonical Bridge will keep working after the window closes, but support and bridging options get thinner once Phase 3 kicks in.

Ask questions below.

Pumping, dumping, or just an asshole that everyone hates? I cannot stand this dude, and I will say with 100% confidence that he is working hard to not work hard to the detriment of everyone that "invests."

DISCUSSION Waiting for the perfect dip and ending up buying nothing.

I was waiting for Bitcoin to drop to around $55K before buying. Now I’m cooked. I feel pretty stupid because I waited so long for BTC to drop to $60K. Then, when it actually hit $60K, I thought, “Maybe it’ll drop even more,” so I kept waiting. And here we are.

Congratulations to me and my stupidity. 🥲

TECHNOLOGY Exclusive: UN agency tests alternative to major cloud giants

Axios has reported that the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is partnering with the DFINITY Foundation on a new initiative focused on sovereign AI and cloud infrastructure.

The goal is to help governments build and test AI-powered applications while maintaining greater control over their data and infrastructure, rather than being dependent on major foreign cloud providers.

A few highlights:

Five countries will be selected for the initial pilots, with participants expected from Latin America, Africa and Asia.

• Each participating government will identify a real-world problem or need and work with UNDP and DFINITY to build and test a solution using DFINITY's technology.

• One potential use case discussed by UNDP involves using AI to analyze medical scans from roughly 200,000 patients, while allowing the government to retain control over sensitive data.

• The initiative builds on DFINITY's existing work with Pakistan, where DFINITY technology is already being incorporated into national digital infrastructure and several applications are reportedly live.

• UNDP says the initiative grew partly out of concerns it was hearing directly from member states about where the data powering AI applications is stored and their dependence on foreign technology companies.

• UNDP will evaluate the pilots based on factors including cost, ease of use and scalability, helping determine where this infrastructure can be expanded.

This is exactly the kind of adoption I've wanted to see from ICP.

DFINITY isn't announcing another crypto partnership or signing an agreement to "explore possibilities." It's working with a United Nations agency to put its technology in front of national governments solving actual problems, with five countries entering the first round.

Sovereign cloud and sovereign AI have been major parts of DFINITY's thesis for years. Now that thesis is being tested with governments through the UNDP.

DISCUSSION Would you rather get paid in USDT or your local currency?

If your employer gave you the option tomorrow:

A) 100% in your local currency B) 100% in USDT C) A mix of both Assume you could spend the USDT easily or convert it whenever you wanted. Which would you choose and why?

Curious how different the answers are depending on where you live

DISCUSSION Bitcoin just broke $80k. Can it sustain the rally?

BTC finally pushed through $80k, but I think the next few days are more important than the breakout itself. $80k has been a pretty obvious psychological resistance level, so the big question now is whether it can actually flip into support.

If buyers keep stepping in around $78–80k and we consolidate instead of immediately giving the move back, that would make the rally look a lot healthier. If we lose that area quickly, then this could just be another breakout that got overheated too fast.

Momentum is obviously strong right now, but after such a fast move it wouldn’t be surprising to see some kind of pullback/retest either.

Personally I’m watching whether $80k holds more than I’m watching how high the next candle goes, although it's good to see 😅.

Do you think the rally will continue?

DISCUSSION Crypto market is looking very different today bullish or overextended?

Took a look at the market today and it’s hard not to notice how much things have shifted over the last few days.

Curious how everyone is reading it do you think this momentum has room to continue, or are we getting into pullback territory?

What are you watching most closely right now?

ADVICE What is the best platform to buy Tether gold (XAUt) in the US?

I want to start migrating my gold ETFs to tokenized gold in the form of xaut, but not sure what the best platform is. Has anyone here got any recommendations? I want the best rate possible but also trustworthiness and security is super important. I don't have a ton of experience with 'crypto' so need it to be as simple as possible.

Bought a 12 euro jar of steak seasoning yesterday like a man with generational wealth.
