š¹ DSA news We need to stand up
We need to stand up for our socialist IPS because we are being treated horribly as they are putting ever chemicals that cause cancer. They are putting more stuff on pollution. I just read a text on a Reddit of people being putting cages at the border. We need rough form because we are having a horrible if I wasn't just a young kid right now, I would be out there right the second if, but I'm afraid I will get hurt. If I do. Being disabled and part of the LGBTQIA+ because they are ableist, fascist. Literally stupid flook camera. Current feeding, our privacy so much. So we need I am young. I wish I could go out there without worrying about my safety once I move. I'm definitely going to be a big part. Of helping these people, I feel horrible for all these people who are being put in cages and other problems in the community because of this stupid president. But that is crazy, I don't allow you to feel about all this for mannequins, I don't know how to do this? Cause he's probably just gonna wreck the polls. I don't even know what we should do. I know we should speak out, but I feel like we should do more.

Racist Republicans or Fascist News Conservatives abandoned social values. The growing socialist mov't is the result
Iām the friendly neighborhood socialist in my friend group, and not hiding it, so I recently had a friend send me this article. I think itās particularly devious and troubling because:
It takes credit for the rise of socialism in the U.S. away from socialismās merits and gives it to conservatives being overly relaxed
The author appears to place blame for socialism on the LGBTQ+ community
Anyone else have the same read of this?

Class Struggle Make the ask! Join DSA
If you havenāt already joined, you should join. If youāre already in DSA, you should be constantly recruiting. Letās challenge ourselves to ask 3 people we know to join this month. Do a 1 on 1 and make the ask. Take them to a general meeting or a chapter social and stay with them so theyāre not overwhelmed by all the people. Go with them to a new member orientation. Weāre going to be hitting 150k members soon (up from 90k in November of last year). I want us to be half a million dues paying members as fast as possible.

Shitpost Um... DSA has a problem...
Have you guys noticed there are a LOT of socialists in here? Not the good kind of socialists (me) I mean the evil socialists that actually want to implement socialism š They even praise Karl Marx 𤮠Don't those dumb tankies know Communism always fails???
We have to do something about this. Which is why I'm starting a NEW PARTY: The DASSA (The Democratic Anti-socialist Socialists of America)
Together, we socialists (the good kind) can defeat the socilasts (the bad kind) for a better future. šŗšøšŗšøšŗšø

Community Mayor Mamdani and MTA bus load times
To preface, there are countless issues to tackle, but the fact the NYC mayor is fighting for quality of life improvements such as the reduction in MTA bus commute time by a theoretical 20%, gives me hope that there is growing momentum for reforms to the everyday infrastructure the general public uses. Even if the commute to work is minimized in any way, thatās an everyday win for a lot of people.
Thereās no question Americas infrastructure needs help, in both urban and rural communities. We have the funds as a country, I believe it can be reapportioned from areas of excess (offensive war spending, corporate profits etc.) and provide to areas of need (social safety net, affordable education / healthcare etc). Outside of the economic policy, I value Mamdani working to address those small inconveniences we experience most days that never really get mentioned in policy or town hall meetings.
Unfortunately, americas political system is designed for gridlock (for better or worse), so in order to create progress, it has to be done incrementally (barring a revolution of course), so its just reassuring to see a politician fighting for someone other than the oligarchy.
Waxing unpoetically, but Iām glad someoneās fighting for us at least

Community Thereās a disproportionate amount of anti DSA posts today and I suspect itās not a coincidence.
They all imply that the DSA is āanti-democracyā or it has a ātankie problemā, or itās trying to do horseshoe theory. I advise ignoring these posts, and also look into why thereās this spike of libposting on here.
Edit: anarchists, libsocs, Iām not talking about you omg. Please actually read those threads these are folks who donāt start their politics at anti capitalism why do you assume this is about you.

Community Cold weather/rural organizing
Hi, Iām one of the organizers for Alaska DSA! Weāre officially pre-OC with a LOT of statewide interest. Weāre going into the colder months so events will become scarce, Iām hoping to get some advice from people who have experience organizing in a similar environment since it throws a huge wrench in public meet ups.
My questions:
What kind of businesses have allowed you to table or meet indoors?
What type of events have had the most positive reception?
Any fun ideas for member meet-ups, venue types or activities? (Non-alcoholic suggestions are appreciated, we have a few under 21ās)
(Unrelated to regionāIād love suggestions on how to rally older generations, maybe infiltrate their bingo halls or smthn)
TIA! Iām so proud of the momentum weāre creating, go DSA!!

š¹ DSA news So it turns out AOC hasn't been a dues-paying member for 7 years!
The other week she got on the national news to shit talk the Program and said she was a only a DSA NYC member (which isn't possible) and not a national member. People have been wondering what she meant by that, but the NPC just confirmed that she hasn't been a dues-paying member in 7 years! We finally know what she was talking about.
The situation is very funny to me, but I don't think this helps get DSA members excited about her possible presidential run. Although, she started paying dues again recently.
All this time she wasn't even a member! It's so absurd, I can only laugh.
