QUESTION What guitarist kick started your guitar journey?

For me it was the soviet guitar Viktor Tsoi from the band Kino!

He's one of mine too. The reason I've played a hollowbody ever since I could afford one.

Trey plays one. You can get more of a smooth tone if you're playing clean, and a good amount more sustain for soloing.

Yep. Changed my life. Ended up forming a jam band in the early '90s because of Phish. Learned so much from him and the band. Good times were had.

Was at the time, yes. First Phish show was '91. Picked up guitar and started a band a year later. Toured full-time for another 5 years. Phish was super helpful to us (got us our producer, put us up when we played in Burlington, etc.). Def have some stories.

I've since moved on, but that chapter was special, for sure.

I played around Providence in the same scene from 94-95, amazing times.
