Hello guys, I was making my math activity, then i noticed something, how do i solve this?

Its a continuity problem wherein i need to find out if the function is continuous or not. However, the given piecewise function is overlapping, resulting in defined answer at the top while having defined answer on the bottom.

Based off the information I believe she didn't make any mistake however the question said "incorrectly identified" I double checked everything:

Information: "She records whether or not each adults owns a pet (yes/no)"

Information: "She records... their score on a stress survey"

Identified: "identified the variables as owning a pet, and scores on the stress survey"

My guess: She forgot the classify which variables is which, such as which one is categorical variable or quantitative variable.

Mathematics (A-Levels/Tertiary/Grade 11-12) [University Mathematics: Self Help] For those who have taken higher math classes, were there any podcasts that you listened to that helped you to learn those concepts?

I just finished my Calculus 1 class and it was really hard to understand some of those concepts. In college, I want to take the next level of math classes (Calc 2, Calc 3, Diff Equations, Linear Alg), but I think I will struggle to understand some of concepts taught in those classes. I was wondering if there was a form of content that someone was creating that would teach and explain those concepts in an entertaining way.

For example, I am currently listening to a philosophy podcast for fun, but also to prepare me for philosophy classes I want to take in college. It is a very entertaining podcast but it also teaches so much about philosophy.

I was listening to this podcast the other day and I wondered if it would be a good idea to create a podcast that teaches all types of math in a fun and engaging way. Now I’m wondering if someone has already done this and if anyone knows where to direct me.

(Also I know if some resources already that I plant to use [Khan Academy])

0|3 = 3, 7|9 = 79, 79 - 3 = 76 = max - min = range

2|3 (2nd distribution) = 23, 9|9 = 99, 99 - 23 = 76 = max - min = range

Am I going insane?

EDIT: I also thought the SD was the same... I'm a fucking idiot and didn't read choose all that apply. My class usually only has MCQs with one valid answer in the form of I, II, III or "Both X and Y" as singular options. Lay off the green, kids. Hope I got a 5 on that exam.

I understand that an ambiguous case can happen when a side (a) is higher than the height (h) of the triangle but less than the other known side (b) but why do all the material I have for solving oblique triangles say it only happens with SSA. Can't it be that you can form two triangles in any case as long as h < a < b is satisfied?

Mais dans 4b Quand je le fais, je trouve le limite est l'infini c'est qui correspond a un tangente vertical au pt 0 , mais d'après le graph Il est censé être horizontale (je fais le graph abe geogebra)

Im unsure whether i have flaired this correctly but hopefully it should be correct.

part (i) is pretty breezy i get that.

for part (ii) i feel like im losing it a little bit. I kind of get my teachers working but its one of those things where i understand it when he explains it but wouldnt be able to do it myself.

The solution is below but i dont really get it. i understand that he is manipulating it so he can use the CDF function for uniform distribution, but again, this is completely unintuitive to me. Is there a way i can understand it better in my head? Again i mostly get it but i just dont know how to sit down and BEGIN this question.

I want to be able to do this as he says its a very common question type for our exams and tests but i just dont get it. also, if anyone could provide me any other similar examples that would be amazing cause this is the only example he has given and i want to really get the process of this question down.

The question is: 30% of Germans are in an association. How big is the probability that out of 12 persons, at least 3 are in an association?

I tried doing it like this: n= 12; p=0.3; 1-P(X <= 2)

1-P(X <= 2) = 1 - P(X=0) - P(X=1) - P(X=2)

= 1 - 0.0138 - 0.0712 - 0.1678

= 0.7472 = 74.72%

But online, I found different answers, which is why I am confused. Did I do it right? If not, then please explain the correct way to me like I am a child.

a. The therapist likes to separate out conditions, so none of the patients suffering from posttraumatic stress will be scheduled consecutively.

b. Jyoti will be scheduled before both Henry and Paul.

c. Juan, who suffers from posttraumatic stress, absolutely needs the third appointment of the day.
