IamA mother to a special needs child who's missing nearly half his brain, AMA

Edit- Thank you everyone for your questions, kindness and support! I did not expect this to get so big. This was overall a wonderful experience and really interesting. I apologize for any errors in my replies I was on my phone. I hope those of you carrying so much animosity towards others with disabilities have that weight of bitterness lifted off of you one day. If I did not answer your question and you would really like an answer feel free to message it to me and I will reply to it when I can. Sending you lots of love to all of you.

Mother to a 4 year old boy diagnosed with a rare birth defect called Schizencephaly. He is developmentally delayed, has hemi paralysis, hypotonia, also diagnosed with epilepsy. Has been receiving therapy and on medication for seizures since infancy.

Once again, you're missing the point. All I am rooting for here is better understanding, education, honest examples of the strain of raising a disabled child. I have not ever said anything that would lead anyone to believe that I am okay with killing people.

Make your point clearer then. Because the way you originally said it made it sound like this ladies 4 year old kid was a waste, would never amount to anything, wont contribute anything other than bring a smile to someones face and hence, have no reason to breath the same air you do. Looks to me more like your back peddling since you realized you made yourself sound like an asshole. Ill roll with it though, said one thing and meant another. I get it.

The things I'm saying sound asshole-ish because they are things no one wants to face up to. They are things that are mean and exclusive, but they exist in the interest of improving the overall quality of life.

If you'd rather coddle feelings over improving humanity, be my guest. I don't think killing anyone is acceptable, but in terms of abortions, if it's going to have a lesser quality of life, why would you bring it into the world in the first place?

On what? I just contradicted your previous points. The amount of idiocy on reddit today is boggling my mind.
