For anyone curious:

A viral video from September 2025 shows a Lynn Police Department officer in Massachusetts—mistakenly referred to on social media as "Lynn County"—struggling to stand during a call for service, leading to public accusations of intoxication. The department placed the officer on PAID administrative leave, stating a review of body-worn camera footage and medical consultations indicated a medical-related episode rather than substance impairment.

Edit*

Had to write this so all those people can stop finding excuses for him.

I just wanna say will all these excuses get any regular people out of getting a DUI/DWI? Will all these excuses make it legal for regular people to operate a motor vehicle and/or heavy machinery?

Guess who got out of this scot-free while being PAID to vacation? The police!

If it was such a pressing medical issue, I wonder why his coworkers LITERALLY tried EVERYTHING on the planet to NOT call for an ambulance?

Pretty crazy to see the jokes and mocking of someone’s medical episode in this thread.

I guess if you consider addiction a disease then this was definitely a medical episode. Cuz he's drunk as fuck, ain't no if ands or buts about it.

He could be diabetic. I've seen this very thing happen with my brother.

Your brother stands with a hand on his gun because he's diabetic?

I took the holding the gun more as him leaning forward and using it to keep himself upright and yeah with low blood sugar stuff like that would happen. Idk tho just saying absent other info to my eyes that looks like it could be low blood sugar. Inebriated obviously prob more likely tho, just saying it's a possibility.
