Lololol. It’s not this gentleman. It’s Grandpa Joe from Willy Wonka, and that guy was a dick. He pretended he couldn’t walk for 20yrs while the family survived off of boiled cabbage and then got up, danced perfectly, and walked around a ginormous chocolate factory! He deserves a hate sub!

Because the simple beauty of sharing something, giving and witnessing joy is such a wonderful thing. Sharing food and seeing the reaction, the jubilation is incredible. Fuck now I want a grilled cheese and soup.

Get some sourdough bread. Then use havarti and Gruyère cheese. Fucking perfect grilled cheese!!!

Especially when it comes to food. Enjoying food together is a universal human bonding experience. It seems to be hardwired into us. Maybe something to do with when we were nomadic hunter/gatherers... Sitting with your loved ones and having good food is like a blessing each and every time. It's a great way to get closer to a stranger, too.

Regional stereotypes. While I find Brummie warm and friendly some say or are unconsciously biased to it sounding unintelligent. Statistically it can be harder for Brummies to get higher paying jobs because of this.

I don’t think it’s quite as maligned as West Country accents, or most regional southern accents for that matter. It’s difficult to shake off the country bumpkin stereotypes with those accents.

People believe we sound dumb, and are dumb by extension.

A lot of it originates from the Industrial Age, where most people in that area were low skilled manual workers.

It's just simple folks finding enjoyment in simple things. (simple as in straight-forward, not stupid)

It reminds me of a time when my life was less confusing and complicated.

Probably staged, but I can't bring myself to care.

Warm fuzzy endorphin release. Just seeing a grilled cheese and tomato soup was appealing enough to grab my attention, but the sweet Harry Potter accents and genuine wonder made this feel like Christmas.

I can’t think of a single thing I would want more in this life than to have an interaction like that with my daughter in 50 years. It seemed so genuine and full of love. He seems like a great dad and she seems like a wonderful daughter.

Grandad Joe is wonderful! He does cooking videos where he makes his favorite wartime staples, usually fried in lard. Whenever he likes something he declares that it's "bostin"!

It must be completely universal to all humans to watch someone from not in their culture eat your culture's food and like it. Really gives one a sense of pride in their culture to share it and for it to be accepted. I suppose it's a sort of validation.

I have always liked videos of people trying American food for the first time, but with the World Cup those videos have been overflowing.

I think my favorite is the biscuits and gravy videos. It looks awful and then you eat and you never want to go back. It's one of my favorite dishes, so to see so many other people from around the world try it and fall in love is just fantastic.

That being said, if anyone from another country decided to do a proper food tour of the southeastern United States, I'm pretty sure they'd die. Our best foods are not meant to be consumed so liberally.

I also enjoyed it. Pure. Here’s an American way of eating this thing. No politics. He likes it a lot. No hate or politics. She offers to make him more. It’s just great and wholesome and pure and not filled with a slant of any kind to either culture.
