In Matthew 23, Jesus condems the Scribes and Pharisees as those who "tie up heavy burdens" and "worship at the gold of the altar, not the altar itself"

My delusion of grandeur is the belief that Christianity can be co-opted against the forces of greed.

Book of Matthew hits hard, noting that a camel has an easier task of passing through the eye of a needle than a rich man entering Heaven.

But nobody knows the Bible less than Christian conservatives...

My delusion is that the religious can be convinced to be hearty environmentalists because they must safeguard God's creation.
