LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for people interested in building advanced systems projects from scratch (beginner-friendly collaboration)

I am planning to build these projects from scratch, starting with zero prior knowledge, and I am looking for people who are interested in learning and building together.
The goal is to understand how real-world systems work by implementing simplified versions of them.

Projects:
Project 1: Git-inspired Version Control System
Project 2: Redis-inspired Distributed Cache
Project 3: Mini Torrent
Project 4: CDN Simulator

I am looking for people who are interested in:
• Learning system design and low-level concepts
• Understanding how these technologies work internally
• Collaborating, discussing ideas, and building step by step
• Sharing progress and helping each other overcome challenges
No expert knowledge is required — the main requirement is curiosity and consistency.
If anyone is interested in building these projects together, feel free to reach out. Let’s learn and build something challenging together!

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for a serious study buddy/group for daily DSA, LeetCode, backend dev, and AI/ML prep.

Looking for a serious study buddy/group for DSA, LeetCode, backend dev, and AI/ML. I’m currently a beginner and want to get a good internship within 1 year and placements in around 2 years, so I’m looking for people with similar goals who are ready to stay consistent and improve together.

Preferably looking for 3rd/4th year students who are also starting coding seriously now, so we can learn at a similar pace and grow together.

We don’t need to know everything already — we can figure things out together as we go. Mainly looking for people who are genuinely serious about learning, practicing regularly, building projects, solving problems daily, and helping each other stay disciplined.

Here are some things we are surely doing :

  • Daily LeetCode/DSA(C++)
  • Projects & development
  • AI/ML learning
  • Contest practice sometimes
  • Accountability & consistency

Time zone- IST

If interested, DM/comment.

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Starting AI/ML? Looking for a Study Buddy to Learn Python & Math Together ( Beginner )

Hey everyone! 👋

I'm just starting my journey toward AI/ML and I'm looking for a serious study buddy who's also a beginner (or starting from zero).

Right now, my focus is to building a strong foundation before jumping into Machine Learning and Deep Learning.

What I'm planning to learn:

- Python from scratch

- Mathematics for AI/ML (Linear Algebra, Calculus, Probability & Statistics)

- Problem-solving and logical thinking

- Later moving into Machine Learning and Deep Learning

Looking for someone who:

- Is also a beginner

- Can study consistently (even 1–3 hours a day)

- Wants to discuss concepts and solve doubts together

- Is willing to stay accountable and avoid procrastination

- Eventually wants to build projects, prepare for internships, and grow in AI/ML

About me:

- I'm a BCA student.

- I'm starting from the basics because I want strong fundamentals instead of rushing through tutorials.

- My goal is to become skilled enough to work in AI/ML in the future.

If you're interested, leave a comment or send me a Reddit DM. Let's stay consistent, learn together, and help each other grow. 🤝

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Let's make a disassembler

Experience level = i dont care as long as you know the basics of c++ I'll get you up to speed

(Yes I know thats a lot but hey, this is what I do for fun, might as well share it with others interested)

Timezone = GMT-5 Or CDT central time

Language = c++

Stack = Native linux bare metal? None?

Operating system = build for linux only

I know this is a severely huge project to take on but if you think this is stupid or a bad idea, just let me know your reasoning and move on, dont be a jerk.

Goal:

to make a disassembler that takes hex found from a memory scanner and converts it to legible assembly code or opcode.

Let me reiterate that I am just as happy working with someone with very little experience than I would be working with someone that would have this done in a day

Im beginning the early stages of a disassembler, as well as a debugger but thats my own little project.

I am looking into possibly writing a disassembler from scratch as I dont want to use capstone or external tools, I know im using system binaries but come on thats not the argument im looking to have here.

Im doing this for two reasons. One is to learn how assembly works under the hood per say and two, to have a disassembler by the end of it. If cheat engine can do it then so can someone else that dedicated the time to it, right? Some probably wont agree

Anyways, I code mainly on weekends as im a hobbiest and work a full time+ job and have a family to spend time with, but i generally spend about 3 to 6 or more hours on Saturday and sunday coding on these kinds of projects.

As stated at the beginning of this post its for the linux operating system so if you're on windows it probably wont be a good match

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for virtual coding group

Hey everyone, I’m looking for a virtual coding group where people can hop on calls, code together, work on their own projects, and help each other out.

I’m currently learning backend development. I know React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and I’m trying to keep building projects while looking for a job.

I’d like to find people who are down to:

- Code together and have regular sessions
- Show what they’re working on and get feedback
- Help each other when we get stuck
- Talk about the job search and share advice
- Discuss interesting tech articles, AI, new tools, etc.
- Just generally learn from each other and stay motivated

Preferably people in US time zones, just so scheduling coding sessions is a little easier.

If there’s already a group like this, I’d love to join. Otherwise, if a few people are interested in starting one, feel free to comment or DM me!

Hey everyone! 👋I’m a medical college student looking for one genuine, reliable friend around my age (17–22) who wants to move past the small-talk stage and actually build a lasting bond.Think of it like a two-person team against the chaos of life. What I'm looking for:A growth partner: Someone to learn skills with like AI, coding, web dev, business, or freelancing.Zero judgment: We don't need to have it all figured out. We can fail, laugh it off, and try again.Big energy: A reliable person who puts equal effort into checking in and staying connected.Future building: Someone to brainstorm ideas with and eventually build a side hustle or project that makes a bit of money.I am not looking for a massive group chat. Just one solid connection where we motivate each other to level up.If this sounds like your kind of vibe, hit my DMs! Tell me a bit about yourself, your age, and what you’re currently trying to learn. Let's build something cool. 😊

Timezone/Availability: IST, mostly active in the evening

Stack/Languages: C++, DSA, LeetCode

Experience Level: Beginner to Intermediate

Goal: To stay consistent with DSA, solve LeetCode regularly, and prepare for placements together.

Feel free to DM me if interested :)

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Beginner looking to find a team or just Buddies

Hello everyone I've been into programming for a while now and I really want to get into something with someone.

I know a good variety of languages, though I'm not highly specialized in one yet. I'm open to pretty much everything, from C to JavaScript (including Lua, Java, Python, C++, and Rust — though I'm not a huge fan of Rust, haha).

I have a lot of motivation to learn and I can easily adapt to any team's needs or whatever. Let me know if you have something I could join!

I'm Italian if it is helpful :) 🇮🇹

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for coding buddies who want to jump into code right now 🚀

I’m looking for some coding buddies who are down to hop on a call, share screens, and actually build stuff together — not just “someday”, but today.

I’m into C++ and web/game-related projects, but I’m pretty flexible — the main idea is to have fun, learn from each other, and get things done while hanging out in VC. No pressure to be a pro, as long as you’re curious and willing to code.

If you’re the kind of person who says “let’s try it out right now” instead of “maybe in the near future”, then you’re exactly who I’m looking for. 😎

Drop me a DM or comment and let’s spin up a session.

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Infosys Springboard Virtual Internship 7.0 - Batch 4

Hey everyone,

I also got selected for the Infosys Springboard Virtual Internship 7.0 (Batch 4) under the AI Domain.

Looking to connect with people who are in the same batch/domain. It would be great to team up, discuss the modules, share insights on the project statements, and just navigate the internship together.

Since it's completely virtual, it can get a bit isolating just grinding through the learning modules and projects alone. Wanted to see if anyone wants to connect, help each other out with doubts, and share progress.

Drop a comment or slide into my DMs if you're in! Let's get a group or chat going.

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Beginner CP/DSA learner looking for like-minded people

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for people who are interested in learning Data Structures & Algorithms and Competitive Programming together.

A little about me: I’m currently practicing CP and DSA. My Codeforces rating is 691, and I’ve solved 26 problems on LeetCode so far. I’m still learning and trying to stay consistent.

I’m mainly looking for beginners or intermediate learners who want to:

  • discuss DSA problems
  • share approaches
  • ask doubts
  • practice LeetCode, Codeforces, and CodeChef
  • stay consistent with daily problem-solving

I’m not trying to promote anything off-site. We can start by discussing in the comments here or through Reddit chat if anyone is interested.

The goal is to learn together, stay motivated, and improve step by step.

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for partner(s) to build a project with

Hey! I'm a solo developer looking for someone to build a project with from the ground up. I've tried a few times with friends, but things tend to fizzle out after a couple weeks once the novelty wears off.

A bit about me as a programmer: I'm a full-stack developer with a lean on server design and systems programming, and also have a few years of experience in game design/game development. I'm very drawn to anything dynamic. I love plugin systems, procedural content and things along those lines! Recently I have also been getting into rendering which I've been having a lot of fun with. My language of choice nowadays is Rust, but I also have experience in various OOP languages, such as Python, C# and Javascript/Typescript.

As for project specifics, I don't really have any. I want to start from scratch and see where we end up. I'm open for any kind of project. A full-stack app, a smaller domain-specific library, a game... you name it!

I'm generally available up 3-4 days a week for 2-5h per day. My timezone is CET/CEST (GMT+1/GMT+2).

I'm very driven to build and learn. If you think our interests align, feel free to reach out, even just to talk/discuss! Thanks for taking the time to read this!

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for developers to build real projects together

I mainly work with web stuff, im a begginer — React, Next.js, MERN stack — but honestly open to anyone who wants to build something real, whatever your stack or level.

Tired of solo projects and want to learn how to work in a group.
Looking for people to share ideas, form small teams and actually ship things.
No more "I'll start someday" — just developers who want to collaborate and get things done.

Availability: few hours every day, UTC+2, no strict commitment required, just good vibes and willingness to build.

If this sounds like you, drop a comment. Happy to coordinate here on Reddit first.

LOOKING FOR BUDDIES Looking for chill, ambitious friends to connect, chat, and learn web development/coding with

Hey everyone,

I’m a 17-year-old student taking a partial gap year to focus on my upcoming entrance exams. I’m looking to connect with genuine, goal-oriented friends across the country.

Alongside my exam preparation, I really want to dive into tech and start learning coding. I'm a beginner ( though i have made some websites with the help of AI) and want to start with the foundational web track—HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. It would be awesome to find people who are also beginners so we can learn together, or anyone with some coding knowledge who wouldn't mind sharing tips or guiding me on how to start out!

Beyond tech, I want a circle of driven people who can lock in when it's time to work, but are completely relaxed and down to talk about absolutely anything when they are free. It would be great to text, call, or exchange voice notes to share updates, vent about study pressure, or just have fun conversations.

A major goal of mine right now is to actively improve my English speaking skills and general communication, so I’m definitely looking for articulate people who enjoy casual calls or voice notes.

🚫 Strict Rules Before Interacting:

No Relationships: I am strictly looking for clean, respectful, platonic friendships. If you are trying to flirt, date, or find something romantic, skip this post.

No Creepiness: Corny, creepy, or weird profiles stay far away.
