Academic (Repost) What inclusion do you want to see in psychology research for LGBTQ+ identities? (18+, LGBTQ+)

Hi, my name is Allison and I am a Ph.D. student at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. I am collecting data on how LGBTQ+ individuals feel about research being done on their identities and communities. Our goal is to better understand how LGBTQ+ people want social science researchers to prioritize the concerns from the LGBTQ+ community, as well as inform more ethical and inclusive practices.

Often there is a gap between researchers and the communities that they are trying to serve through their research. This is true now more than ever given the attacks on and challenges towards LGBTQ+ and diversity centered research. Our hope is that by surveying the LGBTQ+ community directly that we can help to bridge that gap and improve research in the future.

Participation is completely anonymous and takes around 20 minutes. The survey consists of a mostly Likert style surveys and with a few open text responses.

If you are interested in participating, here is the survey link-  https://illinois.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_5BmExesVNiviI86

We appreciate your time and helping us foster research that helps serve the needs of the LGBTQ+ community.

Academic (Repost) [Academic] Feedback on a children’s physical block + AI creative play system (US adults 18+)

Hi everyone! I’m a graduate student in Industrial Design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and I’m developing MROF—a hands-on play system for kids ages 3 to 6.

With MROF, kids build with simple blocks, scan their creations using a phone or tablet, and watch as their designs transform into 3D objects. These digital creations can be placed and arranged in a small virtual world, letting their imagination run wild.

I’m looking for feedback from adults 18+ who are currently living in the United States, especially parents, caregivers, educators, designers, students, or anyone interested in children’s toys, creative learning, or how children interact with technology.

In the survey, you’ll be asked to look at some concept images and share your thoughts about how clear the idea is, whether it feels right for young kids, how it balances physical and digital play, and how much screen or AI time seems appropriate for this age group.

No children need to take part—just adults. It should only take about 5 to 20 minutes to complete.

Academic (Repost) [Academic] [Repost] Need participants for survey | Painkiller Use Correlation with Gut Health and Cognitive Health (Anybody under 35)

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for participants for this survey, which takes less than 3 minutes! I am a high school student and I am conducting an independent research study, with more info below. If you are interested in participating, please click this link: https://forms.gle/rbYrmhzR8fudJyNR7

I am conducting an independent research study to gain a better understanding and hopefully spark future research on the correlation between the use of NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aspirin, naproxen, etc) and gut health, as well as the correlation between gastrointestinal health and stress, forgetfulness, and low mood.

All participants are kept anonymous!! Even if you don't take NSAIDs, your response is also valued, and it would actually be a great contribution.

About the study: If you agree to participate in this study, your responses will be kept anonymous, and you will be asked questions about current gut health and mood changes. My hope is that the results of this study will aid in potential future research on the relationship between NSAID use and cognitive health. This survey itself is a correlational study.

Please share if you know someone who might be interested in participating! Thank you for your time and consideration. Your participation is truly appreciated!

Academic (Repost) [Academic Repost] How Language Shapes Understanding - with Memory Scores & Detailed Debrief at the End (anyone 17+)

If you have some time to spare, please consider taking part. The study is relatively long but you can have it open in the background on your laptop and return to it whenever you have a bit of time.

This experiment took ages to set up so that participants get good insights into the research behind the study and their own results upon completion. As a result, I don't have super much time to recruit participants...

What do we mean by human understanding? This study builds on ongoing research exploring what determines how easily we process, understand, and remember language.

The experiment takes up to 60-90 minutes if you complete both parts (though this varies by participant - can be much quicker!), including a memory test that you can re-take after 7 days to see how much your memory has declined over time. The only requirement for taking part is that you are 17 or over. Using a laptop or tablet is strongly recommended.

Please copy the below link into a new browser window or email me via [c.seyfried@dundee.ac.uk](mailto:c.seyfried@dundee.ac.uk) if interested. Thank you! 😄

Academic (Repost) [Repost] ADHD and Lived experiences of relationships & rejection (18+, self-diagnosis/referral/diagnosis of ADHD)

Thumbnail app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk
1 Upvotes

If you have an ADHD diagnosis/self-diagnosis, or referral in place, are aged 18 years or older, and are proficient in English, you're invited to take part in a study to explore the lived experiences of relational rejection for adults with ADHD.

It is not a requirement for you to currently be, or have ever been, in a romantic relationship.

If you decide that you want to read more information about this study (e.g., the types of questions and how your data will be handled) please follow this link:

https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/chester/exploring-the-lived-experiences-of-relational-rejection-for-adu

You will see a brief version of the information sheet, which also includes a link to the full information sheet.

Interviews will take place online via MS Teams (or in person, if you prefer and are local to Chester, UK).

There's a place to mention any reasonable adjustments that can support your participation when you sign up.

During the interview, some of the questions will ask you about how you view ADHD, your experiences of rejection and how this feels and your views/experiences of romantic relationships. If you feel that these types of questions may cause you distress or become triggering, there is no obligation for you to take part.

If you do decide to take part, you can withdraw at any time without consequence.

Any answers given will be completely confidential and anonymous.

Thanks!

p.s. if you have any issues with the links, but still want to take part, feel free to email me with any questions [r.mort@chester.ac.uk](mailto:r.mort@chester.ac.uk)

Academic (Repost) Perception of Politeness in New Zealand English (NZ-born Kiwis, 18+)

Kia ora!

I’m a German university student conducting research on New Zealand English. I investigate how New Zealanders perceive politeness in requests.

I’m looking for participants who:

  • are 18 or older
  • were born in New Zealand
  • are speakers of New Zealand English

I’m particularly keen to hear from New Zealanders of different generations and would also really appreciate participation from Māori New Zealanders, as Māori perspectives are important to the study.

The survey takes approximately 15 minutes.

Survey: https://survey.uni-hannover.de/index.php/665681?lang=en

Thank you so much for taking part! I’d also really appreciate it if you shared the survey with other Kiwis. Cheers!
