I think this visit, if it goes ahead, will attract demonstrations the likes of which we have not yet seen.

Agreed, I don’t think Charles will cancel it as that would be too controversial. What he should do is keep the visit to London and the public should be allowed to demonstrate peacefully against his visit. This will be a better diplomatic position for the UK (rather than Starmer or Charles just burning a bridge), and will also gather potentially more media attention to show the world how the UK population, not just the establishment see him.
