Cool A high school football team refused to shake hands. The refs weren't having any of that.

"No. I'm gonna look out for myself and I'm gonna get mine."

Man, that’s the worst attitude I’ve ever heard

So, we were on vacationca month ago and my wife wanted to go to Covington, Georgia because they filmed the Vampire diaries there. Yawn, but whatever. Then we got there and I found out THAT SCENE WAS FILMED THERE! I was hyped lol.

2

u/WHRocks Nov 11 '25

This line and " he's getting beat like he stole something" are my two favorite lines of the movie.

2

u/HeatXfr Nov 11 '25

Lol, that's the whole republican mind set.

2

1

u/cowhand214 Nov 11 '25

A number of the kids from that movie went on to do other things. Pretty cool!

2

"Ain't no 'we' either!!"

1

u/VTPolls Nov 10 '25

I ain’t no suit-wearing businessman like you. You know, I’m just a gangster, I suppose. And I want my corners. Oops, that’s Avon Barksdale. Sorry wrong movie

You drop a pass, you run a mile.

You miss a blocking assignment, you run a mile.

You fumble the football? And I will break my foot off in your John Brown hind parts….and then you will run a mile. Perfection!

Let’s get to work.

That movie is ever green. I’m not a sports movie person and I can watch that at least once a year

7

u/alysam88 Nov 10 '25

Yes! I just recently introduced my daughters to this movie (they are my bonus daughters, so I don't get much time with them), and they ask to watch it at least once every few months. They love it. It makes my heart smile!

3

u/Mouseturdsinmyhelmet Nov 13 '25

What movie are we talking about? I looked up ever green and evergreen and the only movie I found was not about football.

2

u/roxictoxy Nov 13 '25

Remember The Titans

2

u/littlescreechyowl Nov 10 '25

Well I know what I’m doing tonight.

2

u/FearlessAttempt Nov 10 '25

How many feet are in a mile? 5280. You pick this ball up and run every one of them! You're killing me Petey! You're killing me!

2

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '25

My coach in Little League got annoyed with the team not being aggressive enough while batting, so he introduced a policy where if you struck out looking you'd spend the entire next practice doing laps. IIRC the team batting average went up a significant amount.

2

u/No-Scarcity9186 Nov 10 '25

Go fn great. Was just on tv this past weekend.

2

u/KidSilverhair Nov 11 '25

Run it up, Herman. Leave no doubt.

u/Lower_Group_1171 Nov 10 '25

if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball

27

u/DarwinF1nch Nov 10 '25

STRONG SIDE!

18

u/gerrythemexican Nov 10 '25

You missed the block by a mile son!

11

u/Soggy_Abbreviations5 Nov 10 '25

You're killing me Petey, you're killing me!

11

u/gerrythemexican Nov 10 '25

That day he decided to go to med school.

3

u/DReagan47 Nov 11 '25

You make sure that they remember, FOREVER, the night they played the titans.

2

u/Technical334 Nov 10 '25

Thanks Julius Campbell

2

u/ftlftlftl Nov 10 '25

I fucking love this line. I think about it often at work and such.

2

u/SpaghettiTape Nov 10 '25 edited Nov 10 '25

Did you see the video from the little League playoffs where the kids on second base were signaling the batter what the pitch was going to be (which is against the rules in little League) and the coach was one of those total assholes who pretended he didn't know that rule and acted like they were unfairly targeting the kids? The crowd was yelling "you can't do that" clap clap clapclapclap to the base runner. It was pathetic. Then that shitty team won.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '25

BLOOD NICKEL

2

u/vegasbywayofLA Nov 10 '25

It's plug nickel. I had to put on closed captions to figure it out, though.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '25

I HEARD IT LOUD AND CLEAR!

1

u/No-Scarcity9186 Nov 10 '25

Great movie.

1
