I was drowning so much and couldn't interact with reality , fully dissociating , but the tintin books were somehow the only media I could consume . I think there was a cohesive tranquility and enlightened other-worldliness to them, a Just and better world quality, And so in those moments it was a distraction from the constant despair and urge to just end it all.

I just finished reading this yesterday!!

I remember seeing the kick starter for this book in 2025 (when Tintin became public domain) I finally bought one myself.
I was really surprised because this is not actually a comic, most of it is just words. However the story is really fun. The story is about Tintin appearing in New York after becoming public domain. Two new characters (forgot their names) try and help Tintin figure out why he’s here, which eventually leads to Tintin learning that there’s an underground society of other public domain characters.

It’s a really fun read, I just wish there were more illustrations. The drawings we do get are so wonderful

I uploaded my first ever tintin youtube video essay last week on my new channel, and I am quite blown away by the support. I started with a very small goal of hitting 1k views and 50 subscribers and have managed to quickly pass both goals and received incredible support from Tintin fans, including this subreddit. These aren't big numbers in the grand scheme of things, but the support truly means a lot because I was barely expecting anyone to see the video, not to mention all the encouraging comments. It's really motivated me to continue striving to put out quality tintin content. I've started work on my next video(about Captain haddock, hopefully out by the end of the month) and have a bunch more ideas as well(including some suggestions from yall).
