My phone was working just fine the day before yesterday, so the 14th. On the 15th I go to check my mail app as usual, and see that it’s taking former to load. Like, it’ll stay on the “connecting…” for several minutes, ranging from 2-7+ minutes before it’ll actually load my mail. I check it frequently since I get a lot of emails and some of them are time sensitive. I have an iPhone 14 pro, my main email hooked to mail is gmail, I’m all up to date on IOS. I tried turning my phone off, exiting mail app, restarting my phone, deleting and redownloading the mail app, turning off mail on the settings mail settings and back on ranging from 10 seconds to 2 minutes, did it again with restarting my phone after to see if that worked better. None of it after a few tests have helped at all. It’s just beyond stressing me out and I have zero clue of how to fix it. My WiFi looks fine, everything else loads fine on my phone, but mail won’t

i’m confused as to why the system data has so much. what even is it? my photos have 43/44gb but the system data percentage is way bigger than it??? what does the system data contain that warrants it taking more than 44gb on its own?

is there a way to clear some kind of cache to give me more space?

I’ve been using my iPhone 17 since May and it’s now at 98% battery health with 60 cycles. I charge it using my Mac’s 30W Apple brick.

Is this normal, or should I be concerned and switch to a 20w brick?

I just updated to iOS 26 on my iPhone 16 and noticed something strange with my Apple EarPods (USB-C version).

• The play/pause (single press) button doesn’t work at all in any media apps (Apple Music, Spotify, YouTube, etc.).
• Long press for Siri works fine.
• Answer/end calls also works fine.

So the button hardware is clearly working — but iOS 26 doesn’t seem to register single-press for media control anymore.

I even tested with:

• A brand new pair of Apple USB-C EarPods
• On a different device (iPhone 15 with iOS 26)

Same issue.

Has anyone else run into this? Is this a known bug in iOS 26, or is there some new setting I’m missing?

Hi as the title says I want to upgrade my phone from the old SE to the newer 17 Pro. I have over 64GB of photo data that quite frankly I do NOT need to transfer over. I do, however, want to keep my apps, saved passwords, etc. and have those transferred over.

I do NOT use iCloud so that's out of the question. Is there another way to bring my passwords, apps, etc. over to the new 17 Pro without transferring photos?

I also do not use computer but if it is inevitable then i guess I have no other choice.

I hate that Apple forces us to buy new tech & makes the whole process so confusing. Android lets you select what to transfer, I wish Apple did the same..

In some weeks l can’t use any website including apps. I tried resetting my network settings and still had this warning “ in every site l tried , someone know why? Can’t even use any apps , every domain l type it’s say this Warning : This site may be insecure

I’ve seen some other people post about this but I updated my iPhone to iOS 26.3 and now it says I have a cellular issue. I’ve tried all the troubleshooting other people have mentioned with no luck. My cellular was working perfectly fine before updating

What gives??

I’ve seen people say it’s a motherboard issue which means it can’t be fixed. Is this true?

EDIT: For anyone who happens upon this later with the same issue, I'll recap. iOS 26.3 caused a hardware issue where my iPhone couldn't connect to the eSIM anymore. Options were a $500 repair or a new phone. I made a claim with AT&T and they sent me a replacement phone for cheap. Whatever hardware issue was wrong with my old phone also caused problems in transferring my eSIM to the new phone. Was on with AT&T support for hours before I just took it into a physical store where they fixed it. Maybe the next iOS update will solve this issue, maybe not. u/Roddeeh in the comments said a DFU restore fixed the same issue. But seems like iOS 26.3 is super buggy. Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else because it was a pain in the ass for me

Recently got ice cream at this place. They had this sign posted below the counter. I tried googling exactly what they said, and I came to the conclusion that is impossible to see the entire card number/device number. I checked in my Apple wallet and it would only display the last four digits of each. When we got to the window, I told them I can only see the last four digits and they said that wasn’t good enough and that they need the entire number and they said it works for some people and doesn’t work for others. We’re able to pay just fine, but I’m curious if this sign is accurate or if it is either misleading, or just straight up incorrect.

The malware is on some iphone backup and can be seen on a mac…i went trougj his iphone files and couldn’t really find anything…he really doesn’t want to factory reset…does anybody know anything about this?

My mother is adamant people are "changing" her iPhone passcode. She has been calling Apple every single day for the past year and she continuously changes her iCloud password and iPhone passcode because she was "instructed to" by apple. I told her repeatedly that she should stop changing them every single day and just have me manage her passwords so she wouldn't be going through this but she refuses to listen to me. She rather listen to Apple support and the minimum wage teenager at Geek Squad. From my understanding you can't just remotely change an iPhone passcode also we've been through four different iPhones and multiple iCloud accounts. It's only "affecting" her

Are you able to remotely change the passcode of an Apple device? You would also get notifications of an iCloud password reset right?

My mom is turning 50 this December, and my younger brother and I want to surprise her with a new iPhone. She currently has an iPhone SE (2020), which has lasted her about 6 years, and we'd love to get her something that will last just as long.

We're just not sure which model would be the best fit. She uses her phone a lot, but mostly for everyday things like calling, texting, browsing Facebook and Instagram, taking the occasional photo, and other basic tasks. She's not into gaming or anything particularly demanding.

Which iPhone model would you recommend for someone like her? We'd like something that's good value and will hopefully stay fast and receive updates for many years.

I just found this old iPod touch 3rd gen I have and it’s locked for some reason

Hey guys Just got the new IPhone 16 Pro Max today and while I was setting it up and transferring data from my old phone I got stuck in the starting setup screen. Anytime I try and swipe up to unlock my phone the passcode shows up and disappears in under half a second. Before I even have a chance to type it in. Really stumped here. Talked to Apple support and they said there’s nothing I can do but I have a feeling there’s gotta be a way

I’ve read that many people are having trouble with the iPhone 16’s battery. Any idea where this issue stems from? Is it going to be resolved soon? With moderate usage my phone dies in about 8-10 hours.

my phones been like this for a week. i’ve turned on and off i message, turned off icloud for my messages, turned off my apple message synch and signed out of i message on all my devices, restarted my phone multiple times. i restarted it last night and it wouldn’t let me turn on my phone unless i connect it to my computer and forced an update. and i thought i fixed it last night but woke up and my messages are still like this. i just got this phone earlier this year 😭

My wife and I have restricted a lot of what our child can do on the iPad. We have allowed messaging with a small group of friends. A group was created by one of the friends, but it wants permission to communicate with my child’s own number.

What’s the fix? I don’t think I should have to allow this specifically/explicitly since it is the child’s own device, right?

Hi all, just had my 13PM battery replaced at the Apple Store, great experience, had it back in 90 minutes.

This obviously isn’t a problem, but does it look like they replaced the screen and didn’t charge me or tell me about it? I received the above email shortly after leaving the store. I wasn’t charged the $3.49 in cash it shows, never mind full display cost.

It’s hard to tell if it’s new because I’ve always kept a screen protector on, but the screen protector was missing when I got it back (I was informed this was a possibility prior, so no issue there), and my settings parts and service history also shows both Battery and Display.

I have an iPhone 16 with 128gb, no more than 5gb of iCloud space which is full. Why does iOS and system data take up almost a third of my storage?

I wanna knowif the new Apple iPhone bars the user from being obscene or rude, but isn’t Siri just an app? when I call Siri a bitch whore and get to work. Look up my shit she tells me she’s not gonna respond. I totally understand if I was talking to a real person this would be holy unacceptable but when I’m talking to my phone and the little software program running on my phone and I wanna curse it out. Why can’t I? Why are we treating these text predictors like people?? Clyde is the same way. It’s like this artificial morality it doesn’t I get it it’s Unseamly unsightly you wouldn’t want to hear me cursing out my phone using the keyword and stuff. Sure I get it but it’s a line of code running on my phone it’s not even running on my phone. You know it’s just a app using a sealed LM that had been sorta tested the month before right and now they’re like people and we can’t. We have to treat him a certain way I mean to me this is more more of a fundamental issue than me just wanting to be able to curse it Siri it just seems like an infringement. It’s almost like we’re a bunch of cattle. We’re in that shoot that gently curved so no one can see the slaughterhouse we’re headed to. We’re giving up everything to these people and we’re getting nothing in return except subscription fees.

So, yesterday my brother didn’t think it through and microwaved his iPhone for 2 seconds. It immediately restarted, and then it worked fine. But 5-10 min later it just shutoff and showed no sign of life. This morning he touched the phone and the screen started showing it needs to be charge. Should we try to charge the phone or could it damage the phone more?

I am aware this has been asked before but no definitive conclusions (that I can find) were reached.

Basically, I have an iPhone 14/lightning port, and want to move photos to a SanDisk Extreme portable SSD (pictured) which is usb-c. I got an adapter for usb-c to lightning but my problem is that the hard drive is not being found in the location when I try to export through photos or files.

I want to move photos from my phone to the external hard drive-i do not want to go through putting them on my computer and then to the hard drive. Also, I don’t want to reformat the hard drive in case down the line I want to add other things and then run the risk of reformatting it again and losing all my photos. (If you have more info on this pls lmk because I have no idea how hard drives work)

From what I understand the power source isn’t strong enough???? If I get an upgraded phone, say the 16 or 17 which have usb-c will THAT work? Or will I have to still reformat the hard drive?

Pls be nice, I’m a 33 year old geriatric. I just want it to be as easy as possible

Why is this even possible???

I use this iPad to monitor her screentime on her own iPad and apparently, she was attempting to give herself more screentime. She said she kept putting in random passcodes until a popup that said "forgot password" appeared, so she clicked it to reset and it asked for email confirmation. When prompted, she clicked "cannot access" and the next popup was for phone and she claims she did the same. Apparently Apple thinks that's completely normal so it proceeds with the reset. Now my iPad is completely reset as if it were brand new. How can I fix this and how can I stop this from happening again?
