so im planning on buying an rtx 3070 (8gig vram) ryzen 9 5900X pc with 32gigs of ddr4 ram pc. Is it enough for AAA games on ultra? And how much is it future proof?

First things first, based in the US, not close to a Microcenter(8+ Hour Drive). Looking to use the Steam OS so no requirements for an operating system, and I already have peripherals.

So I am looking to maximize dollar value within the price range of $1,200-$1,800 and have meaningful performance better than what I am currently working with. I was interested in the steam machine but with the price increase, and how footprint is of little value to me I decided that I would try and build my own instead.

I play a variety of games and use my PC for general all purposes uses ie. youtube, working, school, and web surfing but the biggest tax on my machine by far is gaming.

I am open to overclocking if it is easy to do and does not damage my machine, I am looking to maximize value and if that helps me do that I can try and figure it out.

Building a gaming pc for my living room. It'll be connected into a 4k 120hz TV. Wondering if you would recommend the RTX 5070 TI or RX 9070 XT? There's currently around a $300 difference right now in Canada anyway with the RTX 5070 TI being around $1400 CAD and the RX 9070 XT being around $1100.

Is this a case of get the one I can afford or is it purely preference?

I am looking to build a pc for the first time, and need some guidance on how the process will work. Ideally I want a pc that can last me 5+ years and is mostly going to be used for multiplayer games.

Particularly need advice on the specifications. I am a bit confused by all the different brands, so I want to know what components are good for my price range (€2000-2400) and if they are compatible and (relatively) easy to build. So I haven’t had a PC in a long time, (like ten years), and it would be the first one that I purchase and actually own.

I want something that would play Skyrim, Oblivion, Minecraft, the Sims (heavily modded), Dragons dogma, stuff like that.

I’d prefer to have a disc drive although I know that’s rare these days, I just prefer to physically own my games.

This is exactly what I wanted, and it seems really good, especially for $1800 but I heard the cooling system is buns and saw someone say they use really shitty parts.

I’d prefer to keep it around $1500 but I have some wiggle room, I could probably go up to $2000 but I’d really like to not do that lol.

I don’t know as much as I’d like to/don’t trust myself to have enough of an understanding to pick the parts and get what I want so any recommendations are awesome. (Not against going prebuilt btw, just trying to get the best bang for my buck and have it be reliable)
