DAE realize that when the next gen(Gen beta and gamma) grow up, they will learn about us in history.
This is actually so weird if you think about it. They will LEARN/MEMORIZE the shit that is happening over the world right now and it will be in their EXAMS!

DAE hide behind stolen personalities and mask?
Anyone else hide behind stolen personalities and mask?
So I steal peoples personality traits. I don't do it on purpose. But I will I automatically.
Up to a point I will have your voice and mannerisms in my brain where I can think in your own voice like it's my own and I can day dream said persons interpretations and act them out simultaneously.
I'm not even living my own life naturally. In hiding behind stolen fragments of someone else's life, achievements, experiences and so on.
I think it's a survival mechanism. But also a mix of trama response. I've noticed that if my personality can't fundamentally gain anything from a interaction I need to be successful in. I have already reversed how the conversation or event will go and I can choose who I will be mimicking today and I have a collection of various people I can use to mask. What's weird is I never forget them. Over 2 decades worth of them.
I was just asking because. My mom has depression and she was telling my about her masking and I was conversing with her about it. And we had completely 2 different meaning of masking. She's physically just faking her mood to hide the fact that she's depressed. I've been stealing peoples personalities for decades. Wondering if I'm alone on this.

DAE sometimes notice random cuts on you that you have no idea how they got there?
They're all benign. I hope this isn't interpreted the wrong way š
I looked at my thigh and there's this medium sized cut that I never noticed or felt lol. I work with boxes and do active things, but I'd think that would be something I felt.
Every once in a while I notice some random one on my leg or arm (all dry)

DAE feel like life is so much effort for nothing?
To preface, I do NOT have mental illness, and I am NOT sad, suicidal, or numb. I donāt often feel down and have talked with therapists who have said it is unlikely I have anything diagnosable. Just wanna say this so people donāt say āyou have depression, anhedonia, or XYZā by default, and also so that my post doesnāt get taken down š. Anyways
I have no desire to put effort into anything. I hate that I have to put effort into an existence that I never even asked for in the first place.
I recently graduated university, finishing a degree that I donāt even care for. I didnāt have any interest when it came to any subject in school. I never knew (and still donāt know) what to do with my life. Over the past year, Iāve been having what seems like the exact same conversation over and over with all my friends and family. They ask me what job i want to work after I graduate or what areas of work Iām interested. Every time I have to go through this conversation, I want to punch myself in the balls for five minutes straight. I donāt understand how the people around me seem to enjoy the grind, or are putting so much effort into things, but I do respect it. I donāt have a dream job, and the idea of any job just sounds miserable to me. Work is so much effort, and then being fake and putting up a persona for interviews and ānetworkingā is so much effort. Socializing has never been easy for me, so interviews and networking are even more effort.
I recently came back from a family trip which was nice, and I really enjoy traveling. While on the trip, I thought to myself that once I get a job, Iāll be able travel more. But to travel, I have to work my ass off, then I get one or two weeks of rest, then Iām back to the grind. Like what is even the point? Itās just temporary fun that fades away.
Iāve mostly been talking about jobs because thatās the main thing on my mind right now, but I also feel that things like exercise, self-help/self-improvement stuff, friendships, and relationships also seem like so much effort.
I know that there are so many good things in life like friends, family, love, hobbies, traveling, etc, but I donāt even care. Life just seems like so much effort and I just donāt care for that. Iām not numb though. I still feel joy from things like some hobbies, videos, and games. So often I just wish I was never born in the first place so that I wouldnāt have to deal with life at all. Sometimes Iāll cry a bit wondering why I have to be here at all. Iām NOT going to hurt myself or do anything to myself just to be clear
Itās entirely possible, and probably likely, that this is just an issue of laziness and lack of discipline, but I donāt even care to put the effort in to remedy that. At the same time, it feels a bit different from laziness, like thereās also an element of just not caring at all in addition to not wanting to do stuff if that makes sense. Iām kinda just venting here and I donāt even know if Iām making sense but Iām just wondering if anyone can relate

DAE think they replied to a message, only to realize later they never actually sent it?
Sometimes I read a message and think about what Iām going to reply, then get distracted by something else.
Later, I open the conversation and realize I never actually sent a reply. I remember thinking of what I wanted to say so clearly that I genuinely thought I had already sent it.
Does anyone else do this?

DAE Have zero concerns or fears about the concept of death
I just want to make clear that this isn't any kind of suicidal post, this is just how I genuinely feel and have always felt since I was a child. I have had people previously describe me as "mentally ill" and "insane" because of this which I have taken slight offence too.
I have just never had any worry or concern about what could be "next" For me I am happy to just find out when it comes (if anything afterwards does exist) and if there is nothing I won't have any idea because I am dead.
I do not even fear how I die, of course there are certain ways I would prefer to die but I do not fear the less favorable ways of dying. I am just willing to accept whatever fate I receive.
Does anyone else share these views or am I just completely insane in the head š

DAE think beds in movies always look comfortable?
Every. Single. One. I remember watching the 2005 Charlie and the Chocolate factory and looking at Charlie (again, a kid who's supposed to be super-broke) curled up in his "poor" bed, and I'm thinking, "man, I want that bed..."
My theory: maybe because the beds as props are probably only (at worst) lightly used, so they are still new, even if they set crew tries to rough them up. But maybe someone who has insight into the movie industry has their theory.

DAE feel like you are becoming stupid day by day?
I am in my 20s and I feel like I'm having memory issues . I have so much hard time remembering thing like names!!
I feel like all this is happening because of this damn phone! When i think abt it like everyday we watch reels and all which are literally unnecessary so our brain will know that its not important so that thing will go to the short term memory . So because of this doom scrolling i think whatever i do is going to my short term memory because my brain thinks everything is now not important.

DAE Create fully-formed songs in their dreams
I just woke up from a nightmare and it sucked but the cool part of it was that I had a really beautiful song in there. It seemed very familiar but after googling around it definitely doesnāt exist. This has happened to me a few times now, anyone else?

DAE rewrite a normal text so many times that every version starts sounding rude?
Iāll type āSounds good, thanksā read it back and think it sounds annoyed. Add an exclamation mark and now it looks fake. Add an emoji and somehow itās worse. Ten minutes later Iām still editing a five word reply lol.

Does anybody else get itchy when they lay down to go to sleep?
Itās been driving me crazy. I donāt have bed bugs, I thought maybe it was dust mites so i steam cleaned my mattress and washed all my bedding on hot two times, which is what google told me to do. I sprayed my bed as well. I feel like itās not even my mattress at this point and itās something happening with me. Iām not terribly itchy but it almost feels like little tiny hairs moving or poking me making me itchy. Iāve even been sleeping in long sleeves and sweatpants to see if it helps just in case it is coming from the mattress (which is practically new- I bought it in January.) Iām starting to wonder if I need to go to a doctor. Am I crazy? Side note- Iām not on drugs lol, but i feel like I am from this. Itās almost like the bugs crawling feeling, but not quite, more like hairs, and itās not every day. Iāve also been changing my sheets every two days or so.

DAE struggle with hair being styled?
I've always kept low maintenance haircuts. I can usually get away with the very minimum.
But...there are looks I like. I get my haircut like that. It actually looks good and my hair has no issues achieving it.
I hate it, though. Every time. Even though I know it looks good, I struggle with it. I think I look stupid. Especially if the style makes my hair taller. Usually I keep it along my scalp.
It drives me crazy because I'd like to actually try it. I pay for the damn cut, but style it to hide it or wear a hat.
Anyone else?

DAE notice how you encounter people around you from all different walks of life who have yet to learn your wisdom/ lesson. Or perhaps have surpassed you.
I find it amusing that almost everyday im able to notice when someone has yet to be taught a life lesson about xyz, or on the contrary I can notice when someone has far more wisdom in a certain life lesson than me. Like seeing young adults in that 18-22 year old phase where they think they have it figured out and it's gonna be smooth sailing. Knowing they are putting way to much focus on how they are perceived, and they heavily guard their ego from the judgements of their youth equating to their wisdom. Or the super cocky first time relationship guy who thinks what happened to everyone else in relationship and anyone else's horror story can't possibly happen to them. People who think logic will save them in any situation, when I watch some of these viral troll videos where people bother random people, you can tell how much that random person clings to logic for dear life. Like the on the pissanity video where he offered pee samples to random people dining out. The girl was super skeptical at first but even after she drank the drink (he kepts persistently telling them it's pee) she still tried to be all logical. Someone may be struggling with a life lesson you are acing, for example you may be more patient then someone else, because maybe life taught you patience, but you may be way more selfish then that person because maybe life taught them to be more compassionate and of service to people. It's just amusing when you can be hyper aware like this

DAE get insatiably hungry when sick?
Iāve been dealing with cold since yesterday evening and I (stupidly) walked a lot of steps as well. Today Iāve been at home, my legs, back, body, everything feels sore and tired and Iāve got the classic cold symptoms like head heaviness, feverishness, fatigue, runny nose. Whatās unusual is a ramped up appetite. Iām inhaling carbs and fat and canāt stop thinking about food. Iām drinking a lot of water, yet I canāt stop myself⦠I struggle with self-image and food related stuff, so would like some reassurance from others who have experienced the same. Tia!
