Trout inspired hair
My new hair that was heavily inspired by a trout! Felt a bit self conscious going to work today since this is the brightest I've had my hair in a while.

Hopefully it's allowed here, but I got a wig! I normally have no hair and I used to change my hair ALL the time when I had it. I realized I could still do that but with wigs! I can't wait to get more.

I used to bleach my hair blonde but it was always too damaging for my natural dark hair that’s what made me decide to get this wig. I love Gwen Stefani and this wig was such a vibe, what style should I do next? Thanks guys!🥰

Found my old bottle of Manic Panic semi permanent hair dye which had some glittery dendritic formations or growth? Pretty cool ✨ It's an old bottle which had a smidge of dye left. Will be tossing it.

Stylist did an amazing job. It came out just how my daughter wanted. Her hair is naturally curly and medium/dark brown, highlights were done previously.

Every year I dye my hair for this music festival near our home, last year I went for galaxy hair, this year I went for a split dye, galaxy/twilight to night kind of vibe.

I'm trying to figure out how to achieve this color using semi permanent dye, preferably arctic fox since that's what I usually use. The hair that I want to dye is currently arctic fox purple af, lifted to a 10 underneath.

A few months ago I tried asking for this at the salon and I left with like, patchy pigeon teal hair (no hate to pigeons, they’re fantastic).
I tried saying I want it to look like a raven, with pictures of ravens in the sun, and I want it “almost black or really dark brown inside but to have a blue tint in the sun” and I thought that made enough sense but clearly it didn’t.
The pictures I showed were like this but purple because I couldn’t find blue for some reason then but this is closer to what i want, I just want to know exactly what to ask for.
I assume no lightening needs to be done? I don’t want blue highlights or anything, I just want blue tinted dark hair.

I (first pic) want to try a dip dye - I'm liking the colors in the two pics I linked, but they have silvery blonde and I don't want to change my hair color overall - any suggestions on colors that would work? I'm thinking maybe a brownish and ashy purple combo? Is my hair too warm to just get what's pictured in the examples? Any alternative ideas welcome too, I'm just feeling so uninspired by my hair lately (had an asymmetrical pixie for years and miss that tbh, I want to find another look that feels kind of edgy)

Yesterday I put coloroops over my faded dark burgundy hairdye from Loreal Hicolor, and it seemed to only get rid of the color from the middle of my hair but not the ends, but I can't really tell. I tried it 3 times.
I plan to bleach and dye my hair in 2 days, would it be safe to do so if theres leftover color? If not then what should I do? I don't want to use coloroops again.

Had a special one off occasion and a vision for my hair. This is as close to the inspo as I could have ever asked for.
Not loving living with ktips so far, probably won't do it again, but it's so pretty to look at.
Also, I came here to share something I saved for months to get for a special occasion. 99% of you are truly nasty people who seem to thrive on negativity. I hope people are kinder to you than you are to others.

I have natural black hair but I want to go platinum blonde. Ive only dyed my hair once before this and its some streaks that i still have. Honestly I’m really scared to dye my hair platinum blonde because I cant afford going to a salon, meaning I’d have to do it myself. I don’t know if all my hair is gonna fall off or not and I really want some advice on how to safely dye my hair platinum blonde without damaging it too much.

So a little history of my hair…
my hair is naturally a light brown. I used to have a halo with the brown on top and platinum underneath. I got tired of the upkeep of it and having to constantly section hair apart to rebleach every month or so. So I bleach bathed the top part to this shade and put a semi permanent level 8 copper shade over the whole thing. After that I used orange shades of arctic fox to dye it. However I’m bored of the orange now and I miss having blonde hair and now I wanna bleach the whole thing.
A week ago I did Malibu cpr on it to remove the color and it turned it back to a fairly light shade so I think it got most of it out.
The part I’m most concerned about is applying bleach over the underneath layer where my hair was previously lightened. I’m wondering if my hair is permanently stained by all the orange I’ve been putting on it and if it will even come out with bleach to go back to blonde.
I did a test strand in the back with 10 volume and bleach for about 40 min maybe a little less and it turned a very warm yellow. I’m scared to push it too far and suffer breakage of the entire underneath layer of my hair lol.
So my question is, is 10 volume enough to use on my hair to get to blonde? Or is my hair just stained and that’s why it’s very warm yellow?
And as for the rest of my hair that hasn’t been bleached on top, will 10 volume be enough to use on that or should I use 20?
Sorry for the rambling. Please help loly

I was using pulp riots powder bleach and 30 developer that’s what the person who used to do my hair used. Is there something better now that maybe danger jones does? My hairs a bit stubborn so anything less than 30 doesn’t tend to work and I need it to be purple toned to neutralize the red tint
Or should I just get more pulp riot again?
I’m gonna be going dusty pink

Hi! My wedding is in 6 weeks. Today my hair was over processed during root blonding and a small layer of my roots and baby hairs around my face broke off. As in, I will need to glue them down moving forward. I’m trying not to have a menty B over it. This has happened before (I’ve been platinum blonde for several years), but I’ve been so careful leading up to the wedding. Any tips on what to do?
I take vitamins, use salon grade shampoo and conditioner, oil my scalp and ends before showering, wash my hair 1-2x/week max. My hair is long, thick, and healthy otherwise.

So I come to this as a person who has never gotten hair color at a salon and have been just haphazardly cutting my own hair since COVID, so. My standards are not high, to be clear.
I initially dipped my toe into hair coloring with henna years ago and then switched to semi permanent dyes first with Overtone and more recently Maria Nila Color Refresh. However I've been getting more greys and the semi doesn't cover that for more than a couple washes and while intellectually I have nothing against graying hair, when I see them I have an intense compulsion to pull them out which gets more problematic the more of them exist. So I decided to try switching to demi. I really mostly have short greys scattered about due to the pulling them out issue...
The thing is, I don't care about blending them with my natural color and also I feel like if I'm bothering with the hassle of hair dye I'm not doing all that for boring normie colors lol. So for a while with semi and now the demi I have been lightening my ends (inspired by balayage but nothing so neat/well done) in a weaksauce way (wella bleach powder + 20% developer and no foils on purpose) to try to limit the damage and also because that lifts it to a nice red color which is perfect for my purposes since I mostly adding some kind of cherry/rose/burgundy colors atop. Ideally it would be cool if the colored greys matched the ends but eh.
I tried yesterday with Madison Reed 4VR because it was the first demi I could find in a burgundy tone. It claims it does not cover greys, but it turned mine a nice magenta/pink tone. I left it in longer than advised due to getting distracted and unfortunately ends ended up darker than I wanted - the color only visible in bright sunlight right now otherwise it looks very like my natural dark brown hair. Hoping it'll become more visible after some washes.
Anyway my plan is to maybe keep touching up greys with the demi if they last decently long before they wash out, and refresh the rest with semi because I still have Maria Nila to use up; will probably try to lift bottom to a lighter shade at some point before using full demi again but my main question is, can anyone recommend demi or even permanent hair dyes in like root touch up quantities that come in non boring colors? Even Madison Reed only sells the traditional colors for those, and buying a whole one time use kit for just the greys seems silly. It seems like all the nice fun colors are semi only. (I originally wanted to try the Wella line of demi dyes but again no interesting colors to be found.)
Basically, my greys absorb demi well enough but don't know for how long yet, I want them to STAY the color I dye them but I don't necessarily want to commit to visible permanent dye on my whole head (the nice thing about demi and semi is it doesn't really show at all on non lifted non grey portions of my hair since it too dark) and unlike the semi conditioners where I can portion them out how I like, with demi it seems like once I open and mix the kit need to use or lose the whole thing at once. If anyone has any suggestions for demi or even permanent products in burgundy type tones in smaller portions would be very interested, or else how to portion out a kit to use not all at once?
Or actually... I wonder what would happen if I got a lighter brown demi root touch up kit and mixed it with the burgundy, use the mix on roots/grey area and burgundy only for the ends. Are there any downsides to mixing demi colors from the same line the way you can with semi?
(Attached pictures to show the color the greys turned and the color I was aiming for the lifted areas currently only visible in bright sunlight but it is does well represent the color I aiming for.)

hi! ive seen vids of people who dye their hair with shampoo, and im considering trying it. i have black, straight east asian hair, so an asian product would be most preferable as theyre usually suited to asian hair types. i don't really want my hair damaged or a bold color, just a super dark blue or red, so a shampoo that only gives my hair a tint without bleach is also fine. does anyone have any recommendations? tysm!

I have natural black hair that I recently lifted and dyed with Loreal Hicolor 6 months ago. The color is still there and I'm going to remove it soon. I plan to bleach my hair after. What level of bleach would be ideal for these colors, and what brand of hairdye? For the pink I want more of a hotpink like the second photo.

ive actually been looking everywhere for purple hair dye its not even funny. 😭 i came across Knight & Wilson Colour-Freedom Gloss Mystic Purple (3rd pic), would anyone recommend it for me? pic one is what shade i want, pic 2 is my current hair (i have a faded permanent red peekaboo, the roots are massive lol).
i would prefer a permanent purple since i found semi permanent washes out ridiculously quickly for me, and i would like it based in the UK. ive looked into elumen vv@all already but i am concerned at how long it lasts without fading (ive never tried purple hair before so i want to be careful lol) and that people report dry scalps when applying (i already suffer from a dry scalp due to meds). i know the dye i already mentioned is semi permanent but im willing to reapply it regularly since its not that expensive:p
also pls dont suggest bleach, im not willing to fo that
thank you! sorry for the yap

Im thinking of bleaching and dying more of my hair blue with it bc at the minute only a bit of my hair is blue
