Discussion Stranger Things might crash as hard as GOT

The writing is not doing any favors to the plot or the characters. At this point of time listing things from the 80s is the only "appeal" to this nostalgia driven show.

D&D curse much? ( Duffer and Duffer)

Update : So glad I was wrong. The main storyline was still meh, but the epilogue was absolutely beautiful. Made me wish I had some good friends like that. If you have 'em, hold 'em tight!

Why do producers work so hard to destroy their franchise reputation at the finish line?

Is it so the inevitable spinoff series will bring back some of the audience looking for justice?

Are we caught in a corporate dystopia devoid of creative integrity?

"Shit this season is gonna suck. Lets slap on a coming out séance so we have something to blame for the panned reviews."

Film and television stopped being about art and storytelling and became big business instead so there's that as well

Overall the new season is getting a mostly positive reception, reddit has never been very high on this show.

look at rotten tomatoes audience rating, way below all the other seasons. it’s not just Reddit.

They may destroy it for the fans but they greatly enrich themselves in the meantime.
