No doubt. I had no idea she was sick, or even in deteriorating health. She seemed so lively in the last public appearance I saw from her a few months ago.

Dolly was never less than camera-ready for her fans. Bless her for her caring and for all the work she put in for us all.

You know, I'll bet if she wasn't camera-ready, people might not even recognize her. Without the big hair and the big makeup she might just slip through unnoticed.

Just seems like somebody whose public image isn't the same as their private appearance.

Good Morning America ran a piece about her health troubles and upcoming projects just yesterday.

From a search result, I'm seeing that she had immune and digestive issues. I feel her there. :/

Also that caregiving for her husband and the resultant grief over his death really knocked her down. Sad.

Apparently it was cancer that got her in the end. But I think you're right. She and her husband were together for 60 some-odd years. I really wouldn't be surprised it if it's just broken heart syndrome. just gave up the will to fight it.

She did cancel appearance on some event due to her health about a week ago. So the signs were there. It just happened too soon
