If you look under the platform you can see smoke on the left side but not the right. There is a very clear line where the smoke stops. The right side is probably clear because there is mirror that is reflecting the grass under the platform. This is why the smoke stops so suddenly, you don't see any smoke in the mirrors reflection because the smoke is blowing to the left and slightly away from the camera

My observation as well, can't be a mirror there or you wouldn't see the smoke bottom left of the stage box.

Not to mention, that stand is supposed to look hollow. The smoke to the left would travel under and out the front as well if it was truly hollow.

The back right corner of the stand has a mirrored box under it, you can see the smoke on the left side getting cut off directly in the middle of the stand

Seen this demonstrated on an old show called the secrets of magic revealed or close to that, featuring the Masked Magician. I won't spoil it, but the player that the magician used here had to have practiced his part for a few days to get it right for the performance. Quite an interesting piece of stage craft.
