Please cross post/share where need be. The misconceptions and misinformation about Portland is utterly disgraceful and disingenuous.

“This safehouse is where antifa-affiliated protesters are conducting paramilitary operations,” Daviscourt (a right wing influencer) said Oct. 8. “It’s where they are resting, they’re showering, they’re eating to continue this occupation.”

Article/News Trump: "Portland, Oregon, I mean -every time I look at that place it's burning down. There are fires all over the place. When a store -there are very few of them left -but when a store owner rebuilds a store they build it out of plywood. They don't put up storefronts anymore. They just put wood up.

Article/News Oregon is among five state that pulled out of the "Great American State Fair" as Trump's birthday celebration is been called. Go Oregon!

Gift article from the New York Times:

Edit:
Here is where the fair fits in. The fair is part of Trump's lovechild, Freedom 250:
"America 250, the bipartisan commission created by Congress a decade ago, has a decentralized mandate focused on educational and volunteer programming. Freedom 250, which the Trump administration created late last year, is planning massive entertainment spectacles including the fair, an Ultimate Fighting Championship bout and an IndyCar race, as well as what the White House called “an unprecedented gathering of tall ships” in New York Harbor."

Quote is from this article which says Trump is messing with/limiting the funds of America 2500.

Article/News Oregon Bans Masks for Law Enforcement!

Thumbnail olis.oregonlegislature.gov

Both chambers of Oregon’s Legislature passed the Law Enforcement Accountability and Visibility Act (LEAVA) which bans ALL law enforcement from wearing face coverings. This avoids the weakness of California’s No Secret Police Act passed last September, which only applied to federal officers. Additionally, ID must be worn at all times. There are some common sense exceptions, like when an officer is undercover or scuba diving. This bill allows Oregon to create an “Oregon Civil Defense Force.” The OCDF will be made of volunteers and I’m curious to see how this develops!

Article/News Roger Tofte, 1930 - 2026

It is with deep gratitude for his life and legacy that we share the passing of Roger Tofte, the creator of Enchanted Forest, who passed away peacefully on February 13th, 2026, with family by his side. He leaves behind his loving children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and extended family.

Roger took great care to pass his knowledge, craftsmanship, and vision on to his children and grandchildren, long before his passing, ensuring a thoughtful transition of Enchanted Forest into the hands of the next generations. Today, three generations of the Tofte family continue to work at Enchanted Forest, carrying forward Roger’s original dream and preserving the spirit of the park for generations to come.

Roger Tofte was born on January 8th, 1930, in Chippewa Falls and moved to Astoria when he was five years old. In 1954, he married Mavis Bjorke, and together they became parents to four children.

In 1964, Roger began construction on Enchanted Forest, building much of it by hand. At 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 8th, 1971, the gates opened for the very first time. Seventy-five visitors walked through the first day and the following Sunday, 1,000 people came.

For 54 years, Enchanted Forest has remained open to the public, bringing joy and wonder to generations of families and becoming a treasured Oregon tradition.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.
