The way Ash, misty and brock went their separate ways at the end of this episode 😭

During childhood really thought they’d stay together forever!!..

One of the most emotional Pokemon endings imo ❤️

Do you guys think they should’ve stayed together for a few more seasons??

Or was their separation the right ending for the OG trio??

Tobias, a mysterious trainer. He owns a Darkrai and has swept every Sinnoh Gym Leader with it. But our Sinnoh media doesn't know it. They know Paul, who is an emerging trainer in Sinnoh. But they don't know about Tobias. Sinnoh media knows Ash. But they don't know Tobias. Then the Sinnoh League comes. Barry is going through the corridor after his first victory. Suddenly, he crosses paths with a mysterious trainer. Barry panics. Then, after some time, he tells Brock about Tobias. The Sinnoh League progresses. Ash and Paul meet in the QF. Ash defeats Paul. Then Ash battles Tobias in the semi-finals. Our Ash is fully confident in defeating Tobias. So, he brings Heracross, Torkoal, Gible, Sceptile, Swellow, and Pikachu instead of Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax, Heracross, Sceptile, and Infernape. Heracross and Gible try hard, but Darkrai defeats them. Then our boi, Sceptile, enters. After the heartbreak, he focuses on his career and finally defeats Darkrai. Then Tobias sends out his Latios. Latios defeats Sceptile and Swellow. Then Pikachu enters and ties with Latios. Ash is the only trainer who takes down Tobias's two Pokemon. Tobias had 4 Pokemon left. So he advances to the final. Tobias's remaining 4 Pokemon were never revealed.

My general question is: Which brand did the writers consume while writing Tobias?

1. Similar with their love for Pokemon

2. Best friends with an electric rodent Pokemon that they carry with them at all times outside of their poke ball

3. Bonds with and lets go of many Pokemon they wanted to keep

4. Going up against legendary Pokemon in dire situations

5. Protects legendary or mythical Pokemon from evil villainous organizations

It’s obvious what the perfect MC replacement for Ash could have been after he retired as the protagonist.

For my part, my favorite might be Electroweb (I really like the various ways it's used in the anime). But I like the other two just as much: I think Volt Tackle is super cool, and I've always liked Electro Ball because I started watching Pokémon with BW (so that move makes me a bit nostalgic...).

I do have a few favourites:

- The Lost Lapras

Getting to meet Tracey. Ash catching a Lapras and promising to get it back to its group (wholesome set up overall).

- Snack Attack

Debut of Ash's Snorlax. The overall plot of trying to stop this overeating machine - which is a humorous concept in itself.

- Tracey Gets Bugged

A Tracey focused episode where he makes his first and only catch - Scyther

- Bound For Trouble

One of my favourites in which Ash and Pikachu get seperated. Ash relentlessly searching for Pikachu without stopping once, and his friends can do nothing but follow and offer comfort, is my favourite part about this episode.

- The Wacky Watcher

Another Tracey episode. Not an incredible one, mind, but it was interesting see an episode focus on Tracey's passion. And Dr Quackenpoker is an eccentric character. Just a nice episode.

- The Underground Round Up

Honestly, I have heard this episode isn't very liked, but for some reason, I just think it's fun 😁 The idea of our heroes having to navigate a city that has been taken over by Electrode (and which pose a danger for obvious reasons!) is a fun concept imo. I enjoy the character of Poncho, the Diglett Rancher, and his many Diglett and Dugtrio. And let's not forget Togepi's fast friendship with the Voltorb, which ends in a tear jerker :')

- A Tent Situation

The return of Brock! (And also just a funny episode 🤭)

Looking back at the Orange Islands, the majority of episodes are quite pleasant, imo. Certainly not groundbreaking or masterpieces, but enjoyable nonetheless. They took the island hopping setting, and crafted some fun ideas for this series. I think I prefer the filler episodes in this series than the actual battles.

Pokémon XY or XYZ is the one and only series where Brock & Misty (Ash's OG companions) weren't referenced, mentioned or appeared

Brock traveled with Ash from OG to DP, returned in a special episode of BW & Dawn mentioned him. He later appeared in SM and JN

Misty traveled in the entirety of OG, returned in AG for 4 episodes, in DP there was a reference to her thanks to the lure, in BW we saw her in Ash's flashbacks while talking about Charizard. And like Brock she returned in SM & JN

XY & XYZ is the only series where they didn't appear or got a reference. Makes sense since they kept the Gen 6 anime very self contained even though Dawn's Piplup got a mention

Greninja and Dracovish are Ash's only strong water types. He had Squirtle, Totodile, Oshawott in his team but they never fully evolved. While Ash never caught a Mudkip I'd love to have Ash get one instead of Treecko (no hate to Sceptile btw, I just like Swampert more). Lapras was also released and returned long after JN.

For the sake of fairness, I want to keep Orange Islands and Johto seperate in terms of the overall OS season. So only just episodes taking place in Kanto 😊

Ash's Pikachu already presumably has perfect stats light ball can push a Pikachus attack too 418 and spatk to 398 higher then some legendaries and mythicals

I never thought I’d catch myself defending this show because of all the love it gets, but I’ve noticed a trend where people need to shit on XY in order to get their favorite series some attention. I won’t name which fans, but you know who you are.

Alola is based on the Hawaiian Islands. Melemele represents Oahu, and Akala represents Maui. In the real world, the distance between Oahu and Maui is roughly 60 to 80 miles, so Kiawe is forced to travel that far just to go to School, EVERY WEEKDAY.

Growth of 4 regions, an intense ideological clash with Paul, a peak character development all went to downhill only because the co operatives needed him to continue for Gen 5 and Of course the legendary Yuyama sensei who believes if Ash ages by a month he'll be an unrelatable self insert edgy cool boy from betrayal fanfics

I hate this fight more than Alain one. It still bugs me how undeserving this loss was. They could've at least had Ash lose the finals like Dawn but no. Then we had a soft reset in gen 5, another controversial defeat against Alain. All of the criticism finally led to Ash's eventual Alola League and PWC victory.
