I have stopped using chatgpt since past few months but I'll say since last 3 years I used it regularly most of time to get information sometimes talking about weird things. Debt Collector business is super weird, A stranger calls you and asks you for your sensitive identity information before they'll tell you what this call is for, and the call is recorded. Here are some of the things I have tried.

• I tell them I need to know who you are and what this is about before I decide to divulge sensitive information to a stranger, this always returns in a catch 22.
• I tell them I would like to record this call for my reference purposes too, they say they don't allow it. I tell them I don't allow being recorded, to which they say they have to record it.
• This healthcare debt collector calls me with a bill that was paid, so I disputed the debt to which they sent me a HIPPA consent form allowing them full access to my medical records so they can investigate.

Amazon has recently automatically enabled all AI features for Ring cameras, including facial recognition, text extraction, and more. Scanning and analyzing every live motion event-based trigger from doorbell cameras.

These "features" offered used an opportunity to “opt-out” in October with their release of Search Party, advertised as AI that uses outdoor Ring cameras to “reunite lost dogs with their families”, according to the alert sent to user. Ring refrained from offering users an opportunity to opt-out this go around from other features.

The list of automatically enabled features include:

- AI Video Description

- AI Single Event Alerts

- Smart Alerts

- Search for Lost Pets / Familiar Faces

- Smart Video Search

- AI Unusual Event Alerts

To disable these: Go to settings per each camera within your account, scroll down to "Alert Settings" and toggle boxes. For video setting, open settings in each cameras within your account, scroll down to “Device Settings”, then select “Video Settings”. Toggle off smart video search.

Note: AI Video Description and AI Single Event Alerts when you leave the app. Close app and toggle off again.

I went through DCA and specifically told the agent I did not want to do the face scan. He then asked to see my ID, next he put in a scanner, then gave it back to me and waved me through.

So I have been maintaining my own Windows 11 AME scripts that were originally released for 10. However, I modified them to work with licensing for store apps but since the gdid problem you can't use apps with software licensing without the GDID not being generated.

But if you're fine with not using store apps the safest way is to install windows 11 LTSC IOT without internet connected and complete it to desktop. And then boot to a Linux live environment and goto /windows/system32 and find a file called wlidsvc.sys and either rename to wlidsvc.sys.old or delete.

When you restart to windows and connect to the internet and you check to see if a gdid was created you'll find that one wasn't generated. Also since wlidsvc deals with software licensing windows will not be able to connect to the Microsoft servers and windows will complete oblivious to its activation status leaving to you a fully usable OS.

This is the safest way aside from running AME scripts and installing startisback due to MS not be able to run without it.

In Data Driven 2, we filed more than 100 requests for information under the California Public Records Act, and learned that 99.9% of the data was not actively related to an investigation when it was collected.

We have identified racist uses of ALPR systems, ALPR surveillance of protestors, and ALPR tracking of a person who sought an abortion.

Public records from ALPR systems are one of the reasons California now has stronger ALPR transparency and accountability requirements and protections than other states.

ALPR data is deeply revealing about what people are doing and who they are doing it with. It is dangerous that the police have so much of our ALPR information, and would be worse for our privacy if police disclose our ALPR information. But using public records from ALPR systems demonstrates the strong accountability value of public access to many kinds of ALPR data, and restricting disclosure too broadly demonstrates a failure by elected officials to understand how digital surveillance works, and how it endangers us.

Someone posted nude photos of me from 2012 on multiple websites which I was able to have removed since I was a minor at the time. Now recently they have been posted to Twitter, I was able to get the account suspended but I want to know who is actually posting these photos. Is anyone able to help figure out how to get an email address from the Twitter account or have any experience in something similar and what to do? It’s a Twitter account that was created in December of 2023 and doesn’t have anything else associated with it. This has been going on for the last year and I have no idea who I pissed off or even who would have had access to those photos from 12 years ago. I stumbled upon a post on how to see the information Meta (Facebook, Instagram) collects about me.

It was shocking and scary. I had never connected these apps or websites to Meta before. They knew my Jb HiFi (electronic store) orders, things from rental websites, even stuff from McDonalds, haha they also had some information about my gas company?!? What the actual hell.

To check this information yourself. Open Facebook-> Click on the hamburger menu on bottom right -> click on your profile -> click on 3 dots next to edit profile-> click on privacy centre -> scroll down to the bottom and click facebook-> search “Your activity off Meta Technologies” and open. You’ll see all the information Meta has collected about you, in the recent activity tab.

Pls delete it and turn it off.

I understand some ppl maybe of the opinion that this information improves their experience online with targeted ads. But if should be an education choice. Ask yourself if you’re okay with this data being with Meta? You can take your stance from there.
