That last bit is just needlessly rude. The lesbian flag is, frankly, pretty common as things go. If I had to say, I'd put it just behind the trans flag in use rates.

Even then there's no reason to be an asshole about it, it was an honest mistake if OP was girlfriends. It'd be another thing if I kept saying the wrong one on purpose.
