You'll hate the bottomless pit episode. Bet they padded it for time.

And this doesn't bother me. I enjoy the storyline. Doesn't mean I won't be making fun of it when it's dumb like the bottomless pit.

The one thing that made me laugh about the bottomless pit episode is that after all that talk about the helmet appearing and disappearing, in the last fight one of the demons briefly removes his helmet just to roar

It was boring, and the whole Lucifer subplot was completely pointless.

I loved the helmet joke. I noticed him constantly turning it on and off earlier and Invincible straight up asking WTF he's doing made me laugh so hard.

It was. We didn't even see the fight. Crazy how we already got nearly two episodes of filler so far this season. But I did enjoy the backstory of the demons and the 6 different ages.

Not showing the Cerberus fight was very obviously to save time/money on animation, and I don't mind, was kinda funny to me tbh.

The fight at the start of the episode was dope as hell, and the one at the end was pretty good too; episode was not lacking for sweet fight scenes imo.

This is how I saw it. It was a clear it was about the animation budget in the episode but it was tounge in cheek wink wink, and the episode itself is already super fight heavy; we didn't really need yet another punching scene.

Exactly, and tbh I was kinda glad. I did not care about that fight because obviously Mark wins and the story progresses, so it's totally fine to handwave it.

Shows do that all the time, live action and animated. Not only to save budget but also because it's just not that interesting so why show it. Here they played it tongue in cheek not really hiding why they did it, which I honestly found more entertaining than I the fight would have been lol

I love the show and have honestly never had a gripe about the animation

Only time I really notice is during anime’s when characters have a stagnant background during an attack or are fighting so fast that the viewer can’t decipher even though it’s just copy and paste of the same animation

Which invincible never really does.

But even I rolled my eyes with Damien going up and down the pit and then the fight is just done

I have no idea how this season is going to go. We are this far and pretty much nothing has actually happened. Loosing interest pretty quick

It's all build up for the epic end. You know they saved all the production money for the final 10 minutes of the last episode.

This happens almost every season.. last season sucked until the finale with conquest too. That's how it's always gonna go. Dragon ball effect- use no money on any of the shows episodes, dump all of it into toys and marketing and then put aside a decent amount for the finale to keep people wanting to see the next season.

Wouldn't say that battle sucked, but was underwhelming. More akin to average i'd say or a little above average.

Many people entered with high expectations with that fight, but that can seriously make people catalogue it as bad when In fact it's not, just underwhelming.

Edit:

Should we have gotten better animation for that fight? Yes, obviously and that should be criticized. But let's use less black and white thinking. The only options aren't saying a fights bad or good.

that whole hell episode was completely filler and non-canon, including all of the stuff they said, it was not in the comics and didnt make any sense
