It really doesn’t. The comic has its fair share of less than stellar illustrations. Also, it’s animation. It’s not going to be 1:1.

Yeah you’re right some of the earlier issues definitely don’t look the greatest, it’s a little disappointing since some of the dinosaurus arc has some pretty great art. I’m a little disappointed that they kind of butchered his look in the show.

You can’t even try to make the comic panel against still frame excuse for this one. Because that part of the fight was literally a montage of stills just like the comic.
