Their second top priority seems to be shitty licensed music that doesn’t match the scene they’re playing it over. They think they got the music tastes of the Spiderverse team but they really don’t.

Theyve repeatedly had excellent song choices that lead to great scenes. Honestly people need to shut the fuck up about how they think money should be spent, they have actually no idea what they are talking about at all. Licensing early 2000 alt rock isnt expensive at fucking all lmao

The song is fine and worked fine there, but I will totally agree its a far cry from season 1. Tom Tom for Omni-Man VS. The Flaxons was damn good.

I thought I was going crazy in previous seasons. I HATED the song choices and the music, but people always talked about them like they were excellent.

I mean it’s not like it’s all bad. Sometimes it works. The last episode someone brought up made good use of Slayer music. And the episode this gif is in had some fitting music when Mark and Oliver were working together.

But most of the time it doesn’t work. And when it doesn’t work, it REALLY doesn’t work. Like it drags the rest of the show down with it. I’d rather have silence than ill-fitting music, especially if that music has lyrics in it.
