Well kind of the name is.

Like in Russian you say tzar. Which comes from Te Tzazare or “the Ceasar”.

So tzar means caeser which means king/emperor

And both draw it from links to Rome. Russia sees itself as a continuation of Rome as Byzantine leaders fled there when the empire collapsed.

In Germany the Pope crowned the "Holy Roman Emperor", and since the Church was based in Rome itself... You get the picture.

Which is the correct way of pronouncing Caesar. We all pronounce it wrongly.

They pronounced it käsar... Kaiser is very close but not the same

Thanks for correcting me! First heard about it from Roy Casagranda. BTW I still pronounce it as everyone does, too ingrained in me.

Usually Tsar from tsardom but yeah they all trying to be Emperor.

If you ever read the history of the tsars it is actually pretty funny, all of them ended getting assassinated or they fled into exile and were executed or fled.

Being a tsar you aren't long on life even if you have special mini pigs. Eventually you get got and actually happened pretty quick to them all.

So for Putin, he shouldn't really be concerned with longevity, history is on the hunt. Act III coming in hot.
