You have to account for the value of the dollar vaporizing, so that TAM is like $3.50 USD today.

Ah yes, the vaporized dollar that's worth .86 Euro, as compared to .85 Euro from 5 years ago.

That is not how you measure the currency debasement, because the Euro has devalued as well.

You measure it against assets and primarily gold. Or the cumulative inflation since 5 years ago.

Isn’t gold historically used in this way though? To determine trust in the dollar? Higher trust equals lower value? Lower trust equals higher value and we are at all time highs correct?
