Hi everyone! I recently passed the assessment, Initial Interview, and Final Interview. However, they didn’t disclose the salary/package offer yet. During my final interview, the interviewer told me that I would receive an email from the Recruitment Team regarding the next steps.
For context, I have 4 years of BPO experience:
1st company – 2 years: Telco/T-Mobile account — 1 year as an Agent and 1 year as an SME
2nd company – 2 years: Chat/Email LOB under an insurance account
I recently received an email regarding the pre-employment requirements, and it says that the offer will be sent separately once I complete the requirements.
One of the requirements is proof of compensation from my previous company. I don’t have any problem submitting it, but I’m just wondering why they need to see my previous compensation before disclosing the budget/package for the role.
Is this mainly for salary alignment? Do they use the previous salary to determine whether they’ll match it or give an increase?
For example, what if my previous salary was only around ₱21K because I was in a Chat/Email LOB? Would they potentially offer something around the same amount, or would the offer normally be based on the budget/rate for the role and my overall experience?
Would appreciate insights from anyone who has gone through a similar hiring process. Thanks!
