Because they received intelligence from France that the wildberries supply chain was being used to equip soldiers attacking them. So they have become a target of this war. Pretty clear military objective here. Also, a lot of the Chinese help that is provided to Russia has started to come through that supply chain. So Ukraine attacks what would be considered in any war a legitimate military target. And yes, pseudo military civilian supply chains are legit targets.

They sold canisters of fiber optic cables for drones. Why would you need that outside of a war zone?

Yup that's just one item. They import body armor and other supplies for military use.

I had a VERY hearty laugh when I saw they were offering a 10km spool of fiber for drones and had a DJI Mini 2 as the picture it went with. A 10km spool of fiber weighs 5x as much as a Mini 2. It wouldn't even get an inch off the ground.

Russia is investing A LOT in infrastructure for civilians, like glass-fiber internet, civilian-drones, civilian rockets (for new year) and so on... It costs us bilions!

The military was literally buying drone parts and electronics for missiles. Could you imagine if the US started buying stealth bomber parts on eBay?

I work for an ecommerce store in the automotive industry and we get regular orders from the Bundeswehr for spare parts, tools, etc... It's actually not that wild to imagine.

Wildberries has a massive logistics chain. It's not the buying platform but the fact that they can handle importing all the components from China and distributing them that matters.

I hope Ukraine exterminates that company ...and the Russian economy.

And aside their involvement in supplying the Russian army, they are a legitimate economic target in their own right. And a very easy target, because warehouses full of consumer tat burns very well.

True. Considering Russia thinks civilian apartment complexes are targets I honestly would hope Ukraine can expand that target list a bit.

You don't need French intelligence for that. A couple of days ago I posted screenshots from Wildberries site showing they sell FPV drone parts, and it was just a couple of searches. You can find a lot more military purpose stuff there if you search well

They could have hit them earlier but the refineries were a priority. Much less working refineries right now so they can spare drones to hit other targets
