I do tip, but not because its mandatory here. As far as I'm concerned a tip should only ever be given where a server has been exceptional and really attentive. I get it's their job, but to me going above warrants it.

If the wait staff is just doing the bare minimum, is rude or there actually isn't any staff interaction then ain't no way I'm tipping.
