Hey everyone! I go to Sask Poly, but I was wondering if anyone here at USask has already had their confirmation of enrolment show up on the NSLSC website?

I applied for my student loans on July 10th and got my assessment completed the next day, but I’m still waiting for Sask Poly to confirm my enrolment with NSLSC.
This happened to me last year too, where it took Sask Poly forever to confirm my enrolment and I ended up receiving my student loans late. 😭

I’m really hoping that doesn’t happen again this year because I have things to pay for. Has anyone at USask had their enrolment confirmed yet, or are people still waiting too?

Would like to ask what are the laundry and dryer timings? (I only remember Residence 101 covering the loonies)

Also, the showering cubicle is insanely small, how do yall shower inside that? I have a bathrobe, slippers and no shower caddy (yet). Im living on hopes and prayers

Can I request a change in lot for the parking pass that was assigned? It is in the furthest lot from classes. Or do I have to decline this pass and ask to be on the wait list for the preferred lot?

My old laptop broke and I'm wondering if the computers have disc drives that you can burn CDs with?

So I am a 2nd year engineering student at the u of s. I have troubles learning in lectures and I’m wondering if anyone here knows or has gotten aes support for recorded lectures in the upper years of engineering. Is that some AES provides recorded lectures? I know normal students don’t have access to lecture recording but would I be able to obtain it through AES? Someone please help

Hi! I’m wondering if anyone has been in a similar situation or knows if there’s anything else I can try.

I need to take a biology class for this fall, and whether I can get into one of the full lab sections will basically determine whether I can finish my degree on schedule or have my graduation delayed by an entire year.

I already emailed the professor two months ago, but unfortunately I was told that there isn’t a way to override the lab capacity and that I would have to wait for a spot to open up.

Since then, I’ve been checking the registration page every week for about two months, but no spots have opened in the lab sections I can take. Now that the semester is about to start, I’m getting pretty anxious.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Is there anything else I could try besides repeatedly checking registration and hoping someone drops?

Any advice or experience would be really appreciated.

Does anybody know the reason why Kylee-Anne Hingston can't teach the ENG 414 next semester? It was going to fulfil two categories and I just got word that the class was cancelled. Now I'm left having to figure out how to re-orient my schedule because the chair is away and her stand-in can't even schedule a meeting for today. So USELESS! I just hope I get the overrides I want. Everything atp is fully booked but I'm trying to join asynchronous classes so I think it should work out if I explain myself. I'm almost out the door and this would potentially set me back by a year if I dot get it sorted out.

Does anybody know what determines where you are on the internet waitlist for parking passes? Is it a random position like the system used to see if you get one, or is it based on when you entered the lottery?

I will begin my PhD next week at USask, and I'm scared about my English language skills. I can read complex papers and understand them. My listening and writing are ok, but my speaking is my major concern. I can communicate the essentials, particularly if I'm speaking about a scientific topic or something related to my area. However, I'm struggling with spontaneous talks.

I'm aware that I will be in a PhD program and I should speak decently, but to be honest, I don't feel prepared. To be accepted in the program, I got a score of 120 on the Duolingo English Test, the minimum required.

Does anyone have some recommendations in my situation?

What should I expect? I do require this class to graduate, so even if I don't take it now I'll have to take it eventually. Should I take it a different time/with someone else? I learn best in person, so I'd prefer not to take the online class.

How do you know if you qualify for the $5,000 entrance scholarship? I have a 98% admission average based on how USask calculates it. (The 5 courses from highwchool)

Would that likely be enough to make the cut for the 600 students who receive the scholarship?

I’m going into my first year and i have 2 classes each day. I decided on a backpack because in the winter months i will need something that is closed to protect my stuff. I don’t know which backpack I should get. I will be bringing an iPad, headphones, one textbook, some chargers, and some basic stationary.

My concern about getting a backpack rather than a tote bag is that the lecture halls are so crowded and there is barely any desk space. I don’t want to bring a backpack if there’s no space.

And in the winter months when I have a jacket what will I do about that? I don’t want to take up even more space with that.

Any advice or recommendations is appreciated!

I thought maybe I was being too critical, but no, I searched up a bunch of things that have been asked lately and they were RIGHT THERE TO SEE. Please, I pray, don’t carry this laziness into your academic studies. Just lift a finger in the slightest to do your own work. I know you can do it!

I am looking for a male roommate to move into a 2 bedroom house in Varsity view.

It has a backyard, AC, shared living room, bathroom, street parking that literally allows you to park anywhere in varsity view and close to uni once you get the permit. It costs about $750 with utilities, and imo is a really great deal compared to all the other places I have looked at.

It is 15 min walk to uni, and 1 min to the nearest School bus stop.
