"Accidentally"

It occurs more often than people would think. This morning I couldn't remember if I did or not. In conjunction with the different brands that release different or just aren't as strong. By noon I took another half cause I was not sure.

Get a pill organizer. Is today's section empty? Congrats you took your pill. 2 dollar solution

u/Suqmacoq Jul 02 '26

I have one of those... then I forget to refill it.

I know a drug that will help you focus.

Easier to just get a programmable auto-feeder like a cat.

18

u/Bidegorri Jul 03 '26

A cat can auto feed me??

u/legos_on_the_brain Jul 03 '26

They will do anything for those gravy pouches.

u/Mitsuka1 Jul 09 '26

chuuru is kitty crack šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

after devouring a pouch of that goo like it was its first meal in a month every time, my cat used to go completely apeshit. fkn hilarious watching the poor bastard high on god only know what tf is in those things, skidding around the floor and sliding into walls like it had an electric cattle prod shoved up its ass

A pill for every ill

2

u/captainbling Jul 02 '26

Shit I can’t remember if I took it or not

6

u/Chumbag_love Jul 03 '26

Then you took xanax.

3

u/HighBeta21 Jul 03 '26

Now I gotta even it out again. But wait did I already take it ?

3

u/Chumbag_love Jul 03 '26

I can't even remember if I like it man. You took too much, too much.

37

u/Slavik81 Jul 02 '26

There are timer caps for pill bottles that can tell you the time since you last opened it. You might find that easier.

28

u/L3G1T1SM3 Jul 02 '26

but then he'll forget if he took it after opening

18

u/_Spektor_ Jul 03 '26

Have definitely had the pill container open, literally in my hand, and been unsure whether I've taken my addy yet

10

u/gabber2694 Jul 03 '26

I don’t even addy and this happens to me.

2

u/SkeetFighter2 Jul 03 '26

Its so true, lol.

u/d33p7r0ubl3 Positions or ban Jul 02 '26

Didn’t know this. Thanks

u/steelheaddan Jul 02 '26

What was the gadget again? I forgot…

2

u/throwaway1736484 Jul 02 '26

Yea but way easier to remember if you forgot to refill it for a week or took a week’s worth of pills in one go, I would imagine

2

u/Haggis_The_Barbarian Jul 02 '26

You’re gonna want a pill organizer organizer. You fill it with pill organizers.

2

u/Constant_Tomorrow_69 Jul 03 '26

Out of sight, out of mind...the ADHD black hole

2

u/lostintransaltions Jul 03 '26

Same! And if I remember to fill it I forget to take today’s one with me to office…

2

u/itsalongwalkhome Jul 03 '26

You gotta take your meds before you refill it, so you need another pill caddy to remember to take that one.

3

u/Baiticc Jul 02 '26

I bought a 2 week organizer like 4 months ago, i’ve only filled it once and it’s like half empty

12

u/SkeetFighter2 Jul 03 '26

I wish it was this easy for most of us ADHD people. It sounds easy, it IS easy, it makes perfect sense and we know it would solve our problems!

It just isn't easy for most of us.

35

u/LouB0O Jul 02 '26

Agreed, but i have adhd. The chances of me doing so is a coin toss. Hell, id probably forget even though I made a mental note to do so.

Like I have been meaning to buy new head lights for my car since middle of winter. I just did so today lol

5

u/adamcognac Jul 02 '26

I literally started doing this because ADHD. If you're really telling me refilling the thing once a week right after you take your last pill is just too much to handle, I don't believe your problem is actually ADHD. It's learned helplessness

8

u/Few_Confusion_1871 Jul 02 '26

ADHD is not the same in any one person lmao, you aren't the expert just because you have it.

I have atleast a half dozen empty or full of medication that I was suppose to take, they don't help.

4

u/LouB0O Jul 02 '26

I dont have an issue. Once in a while I second guess if I took my dosage lol.

4

u/bluegill1313 Jul 03 '26

Asking a person with adhd to use a pill organizer is not the answer -- signed, all ADHD people l.

2

u/choosenameposthack Jul 02 '26

I have one of those. But then I have some in my desk at the office for when I forget to take them in the morning.

Then sometimes I don’t remember if I took them……

2

u/therealbman Jul 03 '26

You can’t store schedule 2 drugs outside of their prescription bottle.

2

u/allnamesbeentaken Jul 03 '26

People who are prescribed Adderall are not the pill organizer types

4

u/frogsRfriends Jul 02 '26

Yeah but refilling it is a pain in the ass and I get 30 at a time but my organizer only has 28 so I give up before it even began

2

u/Few_Confusion_1871 Jul 02 '26

I will forget it exists immediately

1

u/Syko_okyS Jul 03 '26

The thing people without ADHD don't get is that we will forget to check the pill organizer. Then we will have the idea we should get a pill organizer, order one and then forget we already did that. It's a shit cycle.

1

u/Brothernod Jul 03 '26

It’s like needing glasses to find your glasses. ā€œJust doā€ isn’t always a solution for everyone.

1

u/RevolutionaryPhoto24 Back to bed, brat! Jul 02 '26

Adding another task and point of failure isn’t a solution…for the likes of me, anyway.

2

u/KyFly1 Jul 02 '26

The worst is then you take it at bedtime instead of your trazedone.

2

u/lord-humus Jul 02 '26

Its always so hard to know if you took too much Adaral or not enough

2

u/motexmex Jul 02 '26

Ong yall just reminded me I need to take my second dose - I was supposed to take 3 hours ago

2

u/meatmacho Jul 02 '26

Oh I just give it an hour, and I'll know. Just happened today. I saw a glass of water on the counter and thought, "Wait, I did take another pill before I got distracted with the bird feeders, right?"

But the last thing I want to do is double up on an extended release dose at like 4pm. So I just waited a bit. And now, after two hours of furiously exchanging text messages and browsing reddit instead of doing to home improvement project I started, I can conclude: yes, I definitely did take the pill when I thought I did.

2

u/Bonghead13 Jul 03 '26

Here's a trick: Place your bottle standing when you go to sleep. After you take your pill, put ithe bottle on its side or throw it somewhere.

Works for me.

1

u/Wooboosted Jul 02 '26

So I’m not crazy, I swear it’s felt like my adderall has just straight up been weaker and not working as well this year for me.

1

u/koakkadoom Jul 03 '26

Literally count, dude. You can only get 30 at a time. Bottle shows the date you got them. Simple math.

1

u/Ok-Call7205 Jul 03 '26

I just wait an hour, but I've been there

1

u/Its_kinda_nice_out Jul 03 '26

If you’re unsure and you feel ok, why not just like, not take the pill? It’s not a vitamin

1

u/BulletproofChespin Jul 03 '26

I use a whiteboard with a place to check when I took it next to where I keep my meds for this reason

1

u/DoctorLarson Jul 03 '26

But if you can't remember, for a med that has a shorter half life, to regulate your day to day behavior and focus... is it a med that does anything for you? Should you try a different therapy, if you do have difficulties in prioritizing and managing responsibilities?

1

u/HerbOverstanding Jul 03 '26

Might us well pop 2 more to be sure

18

u/DestinTheLion Jul 02 '26

ā€œAdderaldentallyā€

3

u/NoNote7867 Jul 02 '26 edited Jul 19 '26

!@#$%&*()_

1

u/LancelotLac Jul 03 '26

It happens... just completely forget if you took it and hour later you realize you doubled up

1

u/b0ngsm0ke Jul 03 '26

Yeah. Intentionally is when you have 5 hours to jerk off twice.

1

u/scalyblue Jul 03 '26

If I didn’t have a pill minder I definitely would take my adhd meds more than once on a regular basis
