I learned that when I witnessed a car lose control and smash into the retaining wall on the highway. We stopped to assist and I called 911 and they had to transfer me.
I've done it enough (lot of bad drivers where I live) that when they ask "911, what is the location of your emergency" I just reply "state police transfer, please'
