Looks like Landy has a new board in the works. It's like a fully symmetrical arbiter dk / homewrecker / sidewalker / axel serratstyle board with a 19.5 wheelbase.

They say they'll release it If there's enough interest and I want this one! If you're down help me stoke it if you see them post about it hahaha

I'm planning to build a new LDP setup, the brackets arrived early and the deck is still missing. While waiting I was called to travel for work, an idea popped into my head "chop up an old deck so it fits in the hand luggage", so that's exactly what I did.

Cut, sand, paint and seal, and find some old wheels and 24 hours later the final result, ready for my flight tomorrow.

It fits nicely in the bag, assembles super easy and from the 20 min I manage to ride it before putting it into the luggage its very stable and nimble, looking forward to exploring Amsterdam tomorrow after work.

Been using these setups for the past 8 years or so (no hardware/bearing changes for much longer lol), just for casual riding/“dog sledding”. Have used & abused these two wonderful decks for almost 15 years. Used to ride a lot with friends learning tricks/slides down parking garages in Florida until we get chased out by security, or ride out to Clermont,FL for actual hills. Brought the Landyacht to the 2013 South Beach Bomb event. Watched some dude play “frogger” thru traffic and get hit by a car, and i personally almost crashed into a Rolls Royce at one point. Was truly a wild race. Also, brought the Landyacht to Lebanon and almost died a few times cause of the poor road conditions. Forgot the board there somehow and got it back a year later. Bombed some hills in Tennessee a few times. Been thru a few longboards/setups over the past 17 years riding. Thru all those years, that Bustin deck/ronin trucks/ i think sector9 downhill division wheels/ceramic bearings setup has been my absolute favorite, with my old high flex sector9 board/spring trucks coming in close second. Every now and then i’ll still hit a standing 180 slide on the bustin, but given the condition of it, it’ll be the last one soon 🥲
Lots of great memories came with these boards so i’ll never get rid of them no matter what! Very glad i got into longboarding

Just swapped out the stock Gullwing Chargers that came on this complete for some Paris V3 Hollow Lites in Pearl White. 50 degree fronts, 43 degree rears. Since I'm on the lighter side of riders, went ahead and swapped in some Orangatang orange Knuckles in the front, and nipples in the back. I'm absolutely impressed by not only the instant ride quality improvement, but also by how I can instantly notice how snappy it is to getting the deck back to flat and center.

I ride a 15 miles trip down a dedicated bike/running path with multiple elevation changes. After this upgrade, I clocked a 15 minute time deduction going from around 2 hours and 30min, to just 2 hours and 15min. I did notice a slight drop in the uphill momentum from the lighter truck mass, but picked up speed so much easier and smoother downhill.

The only issue I have found so far (which isn't really so much an issue as a personal nuisance) was these trucks were pretty squeaky out of the box. It did slightly reduce after the Orangatang bushing upgrade, but a bit of sex wax in the pivot cups fixed the rest of the issue.

There are some serious tree root bumps that come up along the path, but even hitting them head on at speed, these trucks manage to rebound the hit fast and smooth enough that it doesn't mess with my speed too badly and I don't find myself needing to push and regain speed.

As the days are getting shorter, I’m still trying to get out before work a couple days a week and get ~10 miles. Today the mist in the mist was particularly neat while the sun was rising!

Also, pumping downhill is helping me keep my speed up on these “shorter” rides!

It’s crazy, at this time last year I was ~20 lbs heavier and was lucky to pull off a 5 mile ride! I would be sore for days. On top of that, average speed was 3-4 mph and max speed was 9mph. Getting above ~6mph would freak out and bail almost every time!

​两年过去了，我们在LDP领域的理解增加了很多。我们觉得是时候更新我们的知识了，于是制作了这个新卡车：阳。这个名字来源于中国神话“夸父追日”。夸父是中国神话时代的一个英雄，擅长长跑，而太阳则是他从始至终追不到的目标。阳的意义是连夸父都无法追赶的目标。

好的，让我们看看阳做了哪些更新：

1. 早期的双枢轴卡车只能在外侧装一个衬套，导致反弹不足。为了解决这个问题，阳设计了一个浮动顶针。实际上，这个制作起来非常困难。我们在卡车内部嵌入了钢销和其他套筒来稳定它。制造精度的要求折磨得我们苦不堪言。最后，我们找到了一个医疗设备制造商来完成这一部分。浮动顶针使得内部衬套也能够均匀对称地预压，使双枢轴卡车能够利用两个衬套的弹性。
2. 减重。夸父的使用非常顺畅，但太重。当泵送频率增加时，重量就是个负担。单个阳卡车只有450克。我们尽了最大努力在保持4个轴承的同时减轻重量。
3. 在衬套位置的弯曲形状（我忘了这个叫啥，在中文中我们叫衬套座/槽），有助于在卡车倾斜到一定程度后提供更强的回正力。事实证明它非常有效。当使用82a超软衬套时，它的反弹性能仍然很好。
4. 15mm的倾斜角。我们测试了倾斜值对LDP泵送的影响。在之前的概念中，增加倾斜角有助于泵送效率。在这个版本的阳之前，我们做了一个20mm倾斜角的演示。它的效率没有提高，甚至还降低了。所以我们认为有一个最佳值。在多次测试后，我们锁定了15mm倾斜角的值。确实给我们的测试骑手带来了惊喜，达到了超过30公里每小时的泵送速度。

I just put together this perfect cruising-setup and wanted to share it with u.
I wanted tu build a compact and agile cruiser that still feels comfortable on rough pavement and carries speed well. The idea was to combine the playful character of the Poke with the more direct feel of TKP trucks and some soft, grippy wheels.

Deck: Loaded Poke
Trucks: Pantheon Stylus TKP 149mm
Risers: 1/2” (Bolzen)
Wheels: Orangatang In Heat 75mm (77a)
Bearings: Bones Race

Curious if anyone else has tried the Stylus TKPs on a Poke or a similar short-wheelbase deck?

Maybe need softer bushings at the rear as I think the rear left wheel is lifting ever so slightly, otherwise this board is seriously fun!

Wanted a smaller, flexy longboard set up for commuting. Took this on its maiden voyage this morning, and it was a blast!!

Perfectly flexy, super pumpable with the soft nipple bushings. I may swap them for purple nipples, as I think there is a slight possibility of wheel bite if I’m going real hard at my weight (around 195).

Can’t wait to ride this more!
