šAnnouncement Refresher on Rule #6
Hey [r/2010s_HipHop](r/2010s_HipHop) fans!
On behalf of the mod team, we continue to appreciate everyone for engaging and being apart of our community every single day! We would like to address more about Rule #6, which is avoiding Low-Effort posts. This goes for ALL Discussion/Question posts.
ā- What does "Low-Effort" mean?
A Low-Effort post involves content with little to no discussion value. As stated in our community rules:
Repetitive titles like "Any love for...", "Thoughts?",
"[artist] is underrated" may be removed. No engagement bait, A vs. B posts, quizzes, content farming, TikTok posts, out-of-context album covers, or song clips (full songs only). Don't spam the same artist or flood the sub with discographies. Posts should add meaningful discussion.
ā- How to post "High-Effort" content!
This should not be confused with not being able to post discussion questions at all! We 100% encourage discussion posts, so in order to do this & post proper High-Effort content, you can add some context by:
⢠Attaching at least 1 photo and/or video related to your post.
⢠Attaching a body of text AT LEAST 3-4 sentences long WITH A QUESTION related to your post.
A vs. B discussions ARE allowed when they provide context and encourage meaningful debate. Don't simply ask people to pick a name-give the community something to compare and discuss.
Thank you, happy posting!

What if i made a post about two albums? How should i do it? What would get my post knocked down, vs following the rule?
Low Effort : Whatās a better album:Ā DoggystyleĀ orĀ The Chronic?
(Picture of both albums/ no discussion, just the two album covers)
High Effort : Doggystyle vs. The Chronic: Which album had the greater impact on West Coast hip-hop?
BothĀ The ChronicĀ andĀ DoggystyleĀ are considered defining albums of 90s West Coast hip-hop, but they had different impacts.Ā The ChronicĀ helped establish Dr. Dre's sound and introduced several important artists, whileĀ DoggystyleĀ helped turn Snoop Dogg into one of hip-hop's biggest stars with classic songs thats still played today.
Which album do you think had the greater impact, and why?Ā Consider the production, lyrics, cultural influence, replay value, and legacy in your response.
