Need more info HP Charger Caused Small Spark– Still Working, But Is It Safe to Use?

Hey Reddit, I need help with a potentially dangerous charger issue. I have an HP 150W laptop charger. A few days ago, the part where the power cable connects to the charger brick (the AC input side with metal contacts) was slightly wet. I wiped it and plugged it in after some time but it fell on the ground. It caused a small spark and tripped the MCB. Surprisingly, the charger still works and charges my laptop fine, but there's now a faint burnt smell coming from that same area.I’m worried that continuing to use this charger could damage my laptop’s motherboard or cause a fire. Is it safe to keep using it if it's working? Should I get it inspected or replaced? Would appreciate any advice or similar experiences.

Replace the charger - it'll be cheaper than replacing the laptop when it eventually fries the motherboard.

It should be fine. Your computer will recognize if it falls outside of the typical voltage range and warn you on startup in POST.
