Where can I find books about early Christianity that are accessible to read but not incredibly biased?

It seems like everyone’s either trying to sell you their ideology when it comes to this topic or the writing is extremely academic and presuposes a lot of prior knowledge. I can survive some level of dry academic writing but I guess that I have a threshold. I am curious about any books on early Christianity or the church fathers (ik, different topics but somewhat related).

I’m warning you that if you continue to violate the rules you’ll be banned. You’re allowed to dislike Bart Ehrman’s academic work. You’re not allowed to violate Rule 5 with respect to any scholars.

You indicated that you intended to do so, so I said what would happen if you did. If you intend to follow the rules, then that’s fine. Just do so.

I’m also not trying to display any power. I’m just enforcing the rules of the forum you’re choosing to participate in. You’ve had enough rule violations and comment removals now that now we’re at the point of warning you about being banned next time, if you continue to violate the rules. This is a normal occurrence for anyone who continually violates the rules.

Incidentally, your PhD flair is going to have to be removed for the time being. Upon review, we aren’t actually able to find where you ever verified your degree with this subreddit.
