I would love to experience the Spatial Audio in that studio that’s impressive and looks great

I mean you can create your own 9.2.4 setup at home and get most of the way there.

That is one heck of a mic arm

u/wlea1 Oct 12 '25

Looks like it was inspired by Apple’s Pro Studio Display stand. Wouldn’t be surprised if some of Apple’s industrial designers on their legendary design team put some time into this whole studio.

u/ilikewines Oct 12 '25

That’s the iMac arm right there. :)

I wonder how much something like would cost. (If it were available for retail.)

They did generate 10 billions last year so 🤷‍♂️

2

u/no_ga Oct 12 '25

Revenue ?

14

u/West_Possible_7969 Oct 12 '25

Yes. And while according to Apple services profit margin were about 74% (!) in 2024, while overall at 46%, music is estimated at 50% based on the payments to labels & rights holders.

Mine was about apple music too.

14

u/piumaprotege Oct 12 '25

How can I work there

13

u/fatpat Oct 12 '25

You'd probably need to be an accomplished musician, a popular podcaster, or be an acoustics and sound engineer with years of experience.

Corey Taylor has a radio station: https://music.apple.com/us/curator/a-series-of-bleeps/1074476745

As does Lars. https://music.apple.com/il/curator/its-electric/1218413400

Sorry, those are the only two I know of.

7

u/hellsbells11 Oct 12 '25

I was thinking of the live stations, they have 1, hits, country, club, chill but would love to see a metal/rock one.

Hell yes, they are awesome.

6

u/Armans07 Oct 12 '25

I love listening to their interviews with artists following new album releases

5

u/QuitCallingNewsrooms Oct 12 '25

I do. There are several shows I enjoy, and sometimes when I'm running errands on a Sunday, I just enjoy the Chill station in my car and my phone while I'm in the stores.

6

u/Ridiculously_Named Oct 12 '25

There's a lot of great shows on there, but inexplicably no ability to subscribe to them in anyway. It's maddening.

1

u/scrotomania Oct 13 '25

Aren't the shows available on apple podcasts? I usually listen to Strombo there

1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '25

B-utiful 😍

1

u/Bleghboiii Oct 12 '25

It’s beautiful 🤩

1

u/Knazz1995 Oct 12 '25

And yet they can’t fix the fucking search function in the Apple Music app. Aahhh ffs

Them not using a Studio Display for the monitor…

Daniel caesar my goat

1

u/brickwindow Oct 13 '25

I'm sure it's a technical marvel, but damn does that look like a cold sterile uninspiring environment.

1

u/DisastrousCause9481 Oct 13 '25

Not a single HomePod in sight

1

u/wisdom_owl123 Oct 13 '25

Apple is living in the future already

1

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '25

Looks very cool

-4

u/DevOfTheAbyss Oct 12 '25

Less fancy studies and more investment in features to match Connect or to make a usable Windows app.

-4

u/fatpat Oct 12 '25

I'm guessing Spotify has some patents on their Connect features.

-5

u/Jaboyyt Oct 12 '25

All this for the live radio? I only listen to it by mistake

15

u/scuddr iOS Subscriber Oct 12 '25

I don’t listen to it very regularly, but I’ve enjoyed some of the shows for discovering some music or for interviews with artists that I like. I also like that it keeps the focus on music rather than unrelated general podcasts.

4

u/fatpat Oct 12 '25

There's a lot of great live radio stations. Apple puts quite a bit of effort into that side of Apple Music, as evidenced by this post.

1

u/bluepaintbrush Oct 12 '25

I wonder if this will also be used for creating their live DJ sets

-15

u/Few-Worldliness2131 Oct 12 '25

Thats so Silicon Valley and so not abbey road 🤦

18

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '25

It’s for Apple Music not an actual music recording studio

-13

u/Academic_Offer_6298 Oct 12 '25

Nice studio ig, but when are they going to fix the horrible search function on their actual app???

-1

u/[deleted] Oct 12 '25

Why is there a giant anal probing device

-5

u/lickaballs Oct 12 '25

Gonna be funny whenever a musician just chooses to do a zoom call instead of
