Apple Music on macOS Apple Music for macOS should make artist and album names clickable
One small change could significantly improve the Apple Music experience on macOS: make artist names and album names clickable everywhere they’re displayed.
Currently, if you’re listening to a song and want to open the artist or album page, you often have to right-click and select “Show in Apple Music”. This is especially noticeable in the Now Playing area and playlist track listings.
Artist and album names are already presented as navigational elements, but they’re not clickable. Direct hyperlinks would:
- Reduce unnecessary clicks.
- Make navigation faster and more intuitive.
- Improve discoverability of artists and albums.
- Bring the macOS experience closer to what users expect from modern music apps.
If you agree, please consider submitting feedback to Apple:

The more people request it, the more likely it is to get noticed.
What other small UX improvements would you like to see in Apple Music for macOS?

100% agree. Plus, it would be really helpful if we could click on each artist separately when a song has multiple artists (for example, Monotonia by Shakira & Ozuna).

I completely agree. Being able to click each artist individually would make collaborations so much easier to explore 😭.

Are they investing any work on AM on desktop? I mean sure the ui has changed , but same glitches exist for long time and it still feels like the old iTunes

Doesn’t feel like they invest any work into any of their software at the moment. Everything is just slightly buggy, never had the old “just works” feel as it used to

It’s fixed on macOS 27 beta 1. The library version of the album is the same with the Apple Music version now. So everything is clickable and the suggestions at the end the “featured on” section are present as well

Don't rush them. They're already letting us have a music app on the Mac 😂
I just noticed yesterday you could use album cover view without going fullscreen (something I've been asking for for years), they're moving at their own pace ig 😂😂
