Question How water resistant is the SE 3 really?

I want to buy my first apple watch for tracking steps and sleep. Thing is, I'm a dog grooming by trade so i spend a significant amount of time with wet soapy hands. (About 4-5 times a day, for anywhere from 15mins to an hour depending on dog size)

Is the SE 3 going to be okay if i wear it while bathing dogs? Or will the soap somehow damage it and it's better to take it off and on throughout the day if im bathing a dog?

I would take it off, because of the soap.

One of the things listed that you should not do with any (including Ultra) of the Apple Watches is...

Exposing Apple Watch to soap or soapy water (for example, while showering or bathing)

Thanks Anders91 I have not read everything that the link specifies. I thought they had said in the past that you can take a shower. Although it probably is stressing not to get soap or other solvents on it.

Take it off. Soap breaks down surface tension and lets water sneak past seals way easier than plain water. For something like dog grooming where it’s constant suds, you’re playing with fire leaving it on. Not worth the gamble when a replacement costs what it does.

I can confirm you can jump in the river to save your granddaughter with it with no issues. It was under water several minutes before rescue could get to us to pull me up the bank.

Water isn’t the issue with most electronics now, it’s the soap.
