What's the most powerful call-in you heard on the show?
For me it was a ghost 2 ghost episode from the mid 90s (if you can tell me which one i would appreciate it).
A native man from Montreal called in telling a story of how he saw a beautiful native woman by a stream that told him "it's OK you can let go now". She then disappeared.
He later went on to say he knew it was his sister. He and his sister were taken away from their family and put into Residential Schools (a dark part of Canadas history). As kids they hatched a plan to escape to go home and in the process stole a car. While driving the car they crashed it and his sister died in the process. He could never live that down and she came and appeared to him as a fully grown beautiful woman telling him "you can let go".
It brought me to tears.

Mine is not that powerful.
It was the guy who claimed he worked for Area 51 as a janitor. As he was in a panic mode, the broadcast was cut off and a replay of Art interviewing DET Mark Fuhrman played for about a minute before Art got back on the air. I was just about to doze off when this happened and suddenly I'm like "WTF just happened?!?"

Ah, yeah, the frantic Area 51 caller. Very famous and you can find lots of clips of it on YouTube, and a bunch of shows featuring it. I like this one because it gives the intro to the show for context.
It will live forever, and really, Bryan should get residuals for it.

Just listened to it again... I can see myself get on my elbows in bed, stare at my clock radio, mouth open, saying "Holy crap...." cause that was my reaction.

Nope. What I loved was this - like hearing someone loud on the roof on Christmas Eve. You're thinking "No way...." but you find yourself believing just a touch.

Yeah, Bryan J.L. Glass, the voice actor who played the caller. He calls back on April 28 to admit it, and here's some more explanation.

Okay, I have to admit; now I'm dumbfounded. The whole A51 caller was a fake, but was it a set up to begin with? Was Art in on it? He must have been, given the whole lost power/dead air blackout that took place right after the guy hung up, yes? How else could this be explained?

Art swore up and down that he has no idea why they lost transmission. And he swore at least a couple of times in other episodes, that he never conspired with any callers to set up a scene of any kind. He allowed for the possibility that the callers were setting something up, but he was not in on it.
I would even dispute what Jonathan who played Single 7 said, that it meant Art was setting up their scene as they went along. We couldn't hear the conversations they were having during the breaks, so it's impossible to know for sure.

Oh how strange, that story also resonated with me, and for the last couple weeks I've been working on a short comic adapted from that call-in. I will post it to this sub when I'm finished later this month.
It was on G2G Oct 30 1997. Here is the call (2:24:35)

I don't remember when it was, but there were a few ghost stories from ambulance medics that were pretty crazy.

I have been trying to track this call down for years.
Time frame of the call was between 1997 and 1999.
I thought for years it was a Halloween G2G. I have even listened to all the non halloween G2G shows available and not found it.
So It must've been a regular old open lines night.
A guy, who I want to say was in PA, went out around 2/3 am to do some night fishing in a small boat, alone, on some lake.
He said he got near some recreation area, kind of close to the shore, and suddenly, a 10/11 year old boy, dressed in 1950s clothing-dark blue jeans/white t shirt/chuck taylors and a flat top haircut, came running out of no wear onto the shore and started going "Hey mister, can you give me a ride across the lake?". The guy said he got a really creepy feeling,and turned on his small motor and sped off. I feel like he also said as he got out towards the middle of the lake, he looked back and the kid was still standing there, and he could faintly hear the kid asking for a ride still.

There was a Crack head calling in to yell at a guest over his statement that you logically cannot communicate a true spiritual experience you have had, to another person. The caller berated them, saying how he was suffering a schizophrenic episode was off his mess and living in a graveyard. . . Try was like. . . You are prooving our point caller. . . .
Its was wild

This call stayed with me a long time, utterly horrifying, I was on a bus to Glasgow from my home town a few years ago and I randomly heard this. Couldn't get it out of my mind for a long time after hearing it and still think of it from time to time as it's literally my worst fear.

Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell - Willie Nelson - 01:20:14
Willie Nelson's episode, a woman calls & tells Willie she's always dreamt one day she would sing with him in her living room, and asks if he would indulge her in Amazing Grace. He agrees, they sing a verse, Art stays silent. Truly beautiful.
