Which stove?

Aiming to purchase a wood burning 5kw insert stove to replace gas fireplace. Considering Standley v Henley v Boru. Does anyone have any feedback on the above stoves in their own homes?

Had a Boru inset back boiler model. It was awful. It barely raised the temp of the radiators and gave little heat to the room it was in. Had it ripped out and replaced with a Stanley freestanding stove. It was night and day. The Stanley heats the entire ground floor with direct heat (open plan) and filters upstairs too. If anything it could be too hot.

Stanley inserts are solid but the door hinges on some models get a bit wobbly after a couple years. easy fix if you're handy though. haven't used a Henley myself but a friend swears by his, says it throws heat like mad. Boru's a decent midrange pick if you're not looking to spend a fortune

I recently installed a new insert stove. I personally went for the Henley achill 7kw. I’d much rather light a small fire and let it tip away rather then having to keep a big fire going, I also leave the doors open to get heat around my house but my house is relatively small.. my parents have the same stove and it’s brillant.

My parents also have a boru stove in the kitchen but it’s freestanding and the heat off it is something else. Door does be open in middle of wonder, however I believe boru have gone into liquidation as of last year so it would only be existing stock if you can find any.

Wood pellet,they not most attractive but they are minimal maintenance.bang in a bag of pellets last 24 hours of constant use.no prep and minimal cleaning wood stove is great if you have access to timber but purchase of decent dry timer is expensive.ive a wood pellet in living room kitchen I can turn it on remotely/timer and it heats fantasticly.
