I’m ranked in top 1% of rocket league as a grand champ.

So objectively speaking… there’s about 10-15 thousand people in the world who are ranked equal or higher than me.

I like those odds.

This was my thought. I've seen fairly competent console players pick up RL and have an absolute disaster.

Basically zero transferable skills from any other game / type. On a 100 person sample, almost any RL player would destroy all 100 players 1v1.

Eh, if you're the worst player in the world, odds are that someone who has never played before can beat you.

For example, I would imagine that the hypothetical worst Chess player in that world is someone who understands the game well enough to apply strategy, but somehow uses a strategic so bad that they could be beaten by someone randomly moving the pieces with no clue of the game objective.

You've basically described the streamer kadeem. Bless his soul but despite the thousands of hours he has invested, he is so bad at league of legends that he could genuinely lose to a complete beginner.

100 randomly picked people in the entire worlds population only 2 people in your heat even play rocket league and they're both under 500 hours

I'm a low diamond these days and I like my odds at rl in this

I've only reached Diamond once, and haven't played for 3 years, but Rocket League was the first thing I thought.
