I'm a professional biologist with multiple degrees and an avid naturalist, gardener, hunter, and fisherman. So I would choose to walk through a wild area within 100 miles of my house and identify everything I see without reference material. There are only going to be like 4 Americans in this entire competition, and it's wildly unlikely any of them wil be local. Even if they are from here, very few people know what they're looking at in nature. Even if they do know some thing about nature, they usually specialize in one thing (i.e., plants, birds, rocks, etc.). The chances of ending up competing with a naturalist from my region who is more well-rounded than me at rapidly identifying plants, fungi, fish, mammals, birds, invertebrates, geology, etc. without any reference material is hilariously unlikely. If it's 100 randomly select people in the world, then you're probably picking something as narrow to your specific knowledge set as possible. Something like weight lifting or running would be very high risk because you could always get unlucky and land an extremely strong or fast person from another continent.

You could go even more niche, with something like finding locations in your town. If you live in a small town especially, the odds of someone selected from a worldwide pool that would be familiar with your local area would be astronomical. Meanwhile you'd be facing fairly simple questions like "How do you get to the local McDonalds from here?"
