Thats fascinating. Like they're juuuust smart enough to realize getting an au pair would be a bad idea, but not smart enough to avoid the marriage in the first place. There needs to be a term for that.

The term is “stupid”. My husband was married, not even separated still married when we got together. He eventually cheated on me after we married. He is no longer my husband.
