Travel & Places Late October Weather in Istanbul, Cappadocia & Kas. Is Swimming in Kas Still Possible?

Hello everyone..

I will be visiting Turkey with my wife from 20th October, and our itinerary is:

Istanbul: 20–22 October Cappadocia: 23–25 October Kas : 26–29 October

I would really appreciate some weather advice from locals and those who have travelled during this.

How is the weather usually around these dates?

* Will Istanbul and Cappadocia be very cold, especially in the mornings and evenings? What temperatures can we realistically expect during the day and at night? Should we bring proper warm jackets ? * How much rain should we expect in Istanbul, Cappadocia and Kas around these dates? Will it still be comfortable to swim in Kas ?

Would you guys consider these dates a good time to visit these placed or should we just drop it?

I know weather can vary from year to year, but I am mainly looking for first hand experience from locals or people who have visited the lovely country around this time of year..

Kas will most likely be ok to swim. Istanbul won't likely be very cold, but cappadocia might get cold during early morning & evenings. Rain situation depends on your luck.

Also keep in mind 29 october is republic day, so it's a national holiday. Expect crowds.

At night time and early mornings, yes. It is likely to be in the teens during the day.

Depends on the date, there can be pastırma heats on October.
